I am not into mobile app development and this talk is a big surprise to me - I had no idea it was possible to use languages such as Rust for mobile app development. Happy to have a chance to listen to this talk today!
Good Morning! Hungry for some more #rustlang today? If so - we have great news - today we will all have a chance to listen to Jan-Erik Rediger (@badboy_) talking about building cross-platform mobile libraries using Rust.
Join us today at 6 PM CEST!

@7sharp9_dev I am a bit lost here - I tried to search for examples of web apps written in F# and React and only found: https://t.co/Dbw4JR2V3L if not Fable, then what you were thinking of? SAFE, WebSharper or WASM via Bolero? Sorry for asking, but I left .net years ago and I am not up to date
@7sharp9_dev I am not going to argue about backend/frontend language as today everything is possible.
Saying "F# could be used in React" do you meant Fable actually?
Anyway, what is so particularly bad about using F# and React together? What do you think of ReasonML then (similar syntax)?
In 2004 I got the opportunity to work with Jeff Bezos to develop the original Kindle. It was Amazon’s first foray into hardware and I learned a ton from my interactions with Jeff. Here’s some of the stories and lessons that I took away from that experience:
@TheWilderThings@hillelogram I am not surprised - many think that criticism is the worst one can do (almost being a traitor) - as if closing eyes and pretending that everything is ok would result in actual improvement. Seems a bit childish to me.
@7sharp9_dev I don't think I get the point. F# is backend language. React is not a language (pick JS, TS, ReasonML whatever you prefer).
And I don't think backend and frontend language have to "match". F# on the backend and React + ReasonML seems fantastic to me.
@Horusiath I probably depends on who you follow and if you agree withe their political views or not.
I am personally not posting anything political, but I do understand people who do.
The question is: hasn't something changed worldwide so we are all so divided now?
2 hours later we will have opportunity to listen to Nell Shamrell-Harrington (@nellshamrell), and we will deep dive into the Rust borrow-checker! Join us at 8 PM CEST! #rustlang#conference#rustydays
Good morning! We have two talks scheduled for today!
Lachezar Lechev (@elpiel_) will shed some light on controlling drones via WiFi using Rust. He will also introduce us to @AeroRust community! Join us at 6 PM CEST! #rustlang#conference#rustydays

@MichalZalecki I have tried dozens of solutions for keeping notes of any kind in sync. I have ended up with a private GitHub repo and a simple script (that automatically adds files, puts generic code for commit and pushes to the repo). I am super happy with it
