JUST IN: An eight-member team of icefall doctors along with two kitchen staff, a garbage management staff, and a base camp manager, left for Mt #Everest (8848.86 m) BC from Namche Bazaar today. The team will fix and maintain the Khumbu icefall route for climbers attempting Mt Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse in the spring 2024 climbing season. The team includes BC Manager Tshering Tenji Sherpa, icefall doctors; Ang Sarki Sherpa, Dawa Nuru Sherpa, Pemba Tshering Sherpa, Ngima Tenzi Sherpa, Nawang Chhimi Sherpa, Dawa Chhiri Sherpa, Dawa Zangbu Sherpa, and Mingma Gyalzen Sherpa) kitchen staff; Ngawang Thanten and Ongdi Gelbu Sherpa, and garbage management staff Yam Bahadur Lama, according to Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC).
