@Yelladmanjohnny The best thing about sending a cattleman to DC is that he recognizes BS the instant he sees it. A valuable skill in Washington DC these days.
For 15 years, @AmodeiForNevada has been elected by the people who know Northern Nevada best.
I’m honored to have his support as we head into the final stretch. This race is about making sure Northern Nevada has a representative who lives here, understands our communities, knows the issues, and is ready to get to work on day one.
My opponent rented a house in #NV2 to run for a political opportunity. I’m running because this is our home.
Walked today for @joelombardonv & @jamessettelmeyer. Lots of strong momentum from Northern Nevadans’ who want NV experience in Congress & are proud of the proven leadership & accomplishments of Govenor Lombardo.
Election Day is Tuesday, June 9th. Vote for @jamessettelmeyer the Right Choice for CD2. Vote to re-elect Governor @joelombardonv to continue the great work he’s started for NV. 🗳️✅🇺🇸 ♥️🤍💙
On June 6, 1944, a 56-year-old general with a secret walked onto Utah Beach under fire, armed with a cane and a pistol.
The secret: his heart was failing. He had hidden it from the army doctors so they wouldn't pull him from the mission.
His name was Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Son of the President. He had begged three separate times to lead the first wave ashore at Normandy before his commanders finally said yes.
When his landing craft drifted 2,000 yards off course, every instinct said redirect the following waves to the correct zone. Instead, Roosevelt walked the beach himself, alone, under artillery fire, cane in hand, reading the terrain.
His verdict: "We'll start the war from right here."
He then stood on that beach and personally greeted every regiment that landed after him, pointing them inland, cracking jokes under shellfire, steadying 18-year-olds who had never seen combat. He did this for hours.
Years later, Omar Bradley was asked to name the single most heroic act he had ever witnessed in combat.
His answer, without hesitation: "Ted Roosevelt on Utah Beach."
Roosevelt's son, Captain Quentin Roosevelt II, also landed at Normandy that same morning. He was named after his uncle, Quentin Roosevelt, who had been shot down as a fighter pilot over France in World War I.
Three generations. Three wars. One family.
Theodore Roosevelt Jr. died in his sleep 36 days later. Heart attack. The thing he had been hiding finally won. He never learned he had been awarded the Medal of Honor.
He was buried at the Normandy American Cemetery.
In 1955, his family had his brother Quentin, killed in WWI, exhumed from where he fell in France and reinterred right beside him. Quentin is the only World War I soldier buried there.
Two brothers. Two world wars. The same French soil.
Their father had once said: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
Both of his sons did exactly that.

One thing was clear at the doors: Reno conservatives want to be represented by a northern Nevadan that understands CD2.
MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE.
President Ronald Reagan famously said, “If a person agrees with you 80% of the time, they’re a friend and an ally — not a 20% traitor.”
So why is David Flippo seemingly at odds with every other serious Republican candidate in the CD2 race?
The candidates who actually know this district.
The candidates who have lived in this district for more than 60 days.
The candidates who have spent years working, serving, and investing in Northern Nevada.
The candidates who genuinely love CD2 and understand its people, communities, and challenges.
At some point, when you can’t find common ground with anyone, the question isn’t whether everyone else is wrong.
The question is whether you’re running to represent Northern Nevada — or simply running for yourself.
CD2 deserves a representative who understands that leadership isn’t about attacking everyone around you. It’s about building coalitions, earning trust, and fighting for the people who call this district home.
Reagan understood that. Northern Nevada understands that.
Maybe it’s time David Flippo did too.
The NRA's Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) has announced its endorsement of James Settelmeyer in Nevada's CD2 race. NRA-ILA also awarded Settelmeyer its highest rating of A+, citing his record and support for Second Amendment rights. As a state PAC, Nevada Firearms Coalition PAC does not endorse candidates in federal races. However, we believe our supporters may be interested in reviewing NRA-ILA's announcement and learning more about why they chose to support Settelmeyer in this race. "Amodei, Gov. Joe Lombardo, the National Rifle Association, the Nevada Firearms Coalition, National Right to Life, Nevada Right to Life and many law enforcement organizations across the state have endorsed Settelmeyer — “because they know my record, my experience and my commitment to this district,” Settelmeyer said.

Thank you to everyone who joined me tonight for our Get-Out-The-Vote rally and meet-and-greet.
More than 100 supporters filled a warehouse to hear from business leaders, elected officials, and Republican leaders about what is at stake on Tuesday. This race is about experience, record, and readiness to fight for Northern Nevada on day one.
I also want to thank the @Nevada_Trucking Association for hosting us and for standing with me in the 2019 two-thirds tax increase fight. When the Legislature and Governor Sisolak tried to push through an unconstitutional tax hike, I led the lawsuit to defend Nevada taxpayers and the Constitution. NTA, along with other business organizations, helped fund and join that fight, and together we took it all the way to the Nevada Supreme Court and won.
That is why I was honored to sign the @taxreformer Federal Taxpayer Protection Pledge tonight. To me, it is more than a signature. I am the only candidate in this race with a real record of protecting Nevada taxpayers, small businesses, and our constitutional guardrails.
We are in the final stretch. Let’s finish strong. Early voting ends June 5, and Election Day is Tuesday, June 9.
"I appreciate your opinion today about @SettelmeyerNV. What sealed my vote for him the most was that @DavidFlippoNV has done nothing but distort James' record & I consider that lying. I don't vote for liars." - (name withheld upon request)
A must read for Republican voters in Nevada’s Second Congressional District: @Irahansen and @alexishansenNV, two of Northern Nevada’s most conservative and respected legislators, on why they stand strong in supporting @SettelmeyerNV. #NV02 https://t.co/hKwwR8Cca7
