I’m on this week’s episode of @owls_at_dawn chatting with @austin_hayden and @axwielderofdeth about my chapter on music festivals and libidinal economies for @mediumflow’s new edited volume for @BloomsburyMus “The Anthropology of Sound”. And we go to some damn exciting places!
Ep 138 is live! “Can Sound Save us?"
@MaconHolt rejoins us, this time to chat about his forthcoming essay ‘The Entertainment’ (bonus points if you catch the reference). We chat sound, politics, freedom & more 🎶✊

The wave of redundancies launched by @GoldsmithsUoL are a needless act of intellectual vandalism by senior management, trashing one of the most cutting edge universities in Britain.
Solidarity with all Goldsmiths staff facing redundancy notification.
@alacovska and I just had a paper published in the wonderfully constructive @EphemeraJournal. It draws on the work of @SavranskyMartin to explore how speculative fiction helps activists transmit the affects of the climate crisis
It's open access!

@arkbookscph is hosting Struggling for Other Worlds: A Conversation Between @SavranskyMartin and @lokitsch and I get to moderate! We’re going to talk about pluralism, ecology activism and living and dying well.
@DukePress@VanderbiltUP
When we’re are making our best makings, I think this is what my friends and I are doing; finding ways to resist and enjoy through each other’s theorizing.
When I think about why it is that I and many of my friends inside and outside of academia do whatever it is that we do, I get drawn again and again to #kodwoeshun ‘s words from the first #markfisher memorial lecture.
It is a attempt to prevent us finding the joys of developing “embodied theories” to live through these problems, in the service of producing those collective subjectivities as they are an anathema to the world of property and domination that we inhabit.
After what turned out to be pretty necessary grind, @alacovska and I have finally got our paper on methods for trancing the affect of climate fiction on activism published by @TheSocReview

So sad to have been too sick to make it to this workshop at @transmediale this year but super stoke to have contributed to this newspaper and discussion in someway.
I took in the @QuatuorBozzini Sunday hosted by @alicecph and polychrome and was thrilled by the premieres of @sarahdavachi and Niels lyhne Lokkegaard works. they really do lot to rattle some naturalised structures. You can read my review here https://t.co/SH9EcskWhD
Deleuze and Guattari's theorisation of power or ideology not as a structure but a flexible swarm of machines programming subjectivization, thoughts, feelings, bodily movements, means I must fight by becoming a counter-swarm, rather than a heroic self
@matthewarcher5 @adribuller @ManchesterUP@arkbookscph Aw man! If i’d known id have let you know! But I'm sure you can get @adribuller up to York to talk about the book!
Fantastic conversation with @adribuller about her book “The Value of a Whale” from @ManchesterUP. The tiny @arkbookscph was so packed people poured onto the street. The dissatisfaction with “green capitalism” runs deep.
