The licensing for a tv show or movie to be available in a country or not, it is the most anti-consumer stupid thing the gangs owning them set against us. This must end. I see a tv show, available in US on Netflix, but in Canada, EU, Australia, no. IDIOTS!
@bridgemindai wow. what do you do. Me and one person I know we can't reach the limits with the Max20x, and we hit it hard, very hard. but I keep seeing people hitting easy the limits, even on Opus and Sonnet.
@timsneath what is apple/container actually solving? I've been happy with Docker Desktop on macOS M series, as it only consumes 0.5gb ram in the background and the vm itself. Is it really a pain to have a little ram, to use actually something close to native linux environment?
@bcherny OK, so context % usage is 24%, and I'm like 249K context size. All good. 1M used. I love it. Now let's see how it performs, on all my personal projects. Giving a go on next planned tasks.
@bcherny Ah, updates are strange. 2 minutes later, and I got 2.1.170. I can select Fable 5, but nothing that sais if it is 1M context capable or something else. The desktop app on macOS, on Code, I can select either Fable 5 or Fable 5 1M context. What actually is available for CLI?
@htmx_org that's why I still use an iPhone 12 mini. Still hoping that Apple will release an iPhone 18e mini. Just want a small phone, able to do calls, messages, use banking apps, and help me with secrets management.
This morning I was reading some random post by somebody, saying that ChatGPT 5.5 felt like it's the first to match Opus 4.7... Well, right now I'm using Opus 4.8 and for sure I don't want the less powerful ChatGPT 5.5... #claude#ai#chatgpt
@aurelien_dio@levelsio for all web projects, I actually run a 6 cores, 24gb vm dedicated only for Claude and friends (well, I wrote a few commands that Claude uses to spin in the background Codex and Gemini whenever they can be useful). Ram is mostly for docker, as Claude spins different services.
@autocar So many screens. Is it to open all social networks, or streaming services on them? I'd get the idea on a self driving car, but... In 5 years the passenger screen will be obsolete, as any phone or tablet will just be superior.
