@joshwhiton This sort of tech illiteracy is specifically nurtured by Apple's design principles. Those store employees scoffing at you is the exact same energy as blaming Android friends when someone sends a video over MMS and it comes out all gross and tiny in the group chat.
@emelius7@terrencehoward@RollingStone "1x1=2 kind of makes sense if you pretend we're doing addition instead of multiplication" literally what you're describing.

@DavidGewirtz can you explain why zdnet was strongly pushing a clearly fraudulent lifetime storage deal for prismdrive even though you acknowledge that the service and those like it is sketchy at best in this article? https://t.co/94ex5djsyJ
@KyleIsMega@aspexParsec@PKMNred200@Wario64 They're still building their controller-centric UI, it's right there in the blog post. Can't speak to performance but I'm not sure what being installed as a steam app will do for performance.
@PKMNred200@aspexParsec@Wario64 Installing it on Arch, which Steam OS is based on, is super duper easy. It's in the main package manager, takes one command or click in the store.
@UFOdevelopment @bearsnoogans @OwenBenjamin how does this sound like satire to you? Do you have any real-world experience at all? What about a periscope is less realistic to you than a conspiracy that suggests *nuclear physics*, nuclear plants, and bombs are fake?
@OwenBenjamin I love how the least knowledgeable people feel the need to declare what is absurd. Next you'll tell us satellites aren't real, the Earth is flat, and WWII-era Germany loved the Jews.
@RachCarrell @farakayss @PonchoRebound@charsiewspace It makes sense because the chili is the point of the dish. Perhaps it's comparable to ordering a chicken salad without the greens. Great idea if you don't like vegetables, but in that case maybe just order something that isn't a salad?
@comraderomney@0xcarlisle@amix3k@HenpeckedHal Again, says you? That's not how automation, jobs, or even the concept of effort work. Your initial complaint was that this was too much effort, but now you're posturing that it's half assed and not enough? Ugh. Just stop replying.
@comraderomney@0xcarlisle@amix3k@HenpeckedHal Says you? That would be a very useful thing to do before a human dials and attempts to call 100 numbers. There's no good reason not to automate part of that process to narrow down the field first. Nobody said the script would do all the work, literally says "most of it".
