Here is my takeaway after the current deportation issue. We are already born and couldn't do nothing about it but if we can't raise our children serving them what they needed, let's not! If we are poor, let's try to be rich so we can atleast save the future generation.

Macroeconomic reforms require harmonized efforts, and this failure undermines public trust in the government’s ability to manage the economy effectively.

It also raises a critical question: can the public and investors truly have confidence in the personnel and institutions managing Ethiopia’s economic reform when such fundamental missteps have been exposed?

The public deserves leadership that anticipates challenges, not one that scrambles to mitigate the damage after the fact.

In a nation prone to conflict like Ethiopia, where internal and external actors are on standby to exploit public grievances and discontent, this level of mismanagement is more than poor governance…it is a major national security vulnerability.

These officials must apologize to the Ethiopian people and resign from public service for their dereliction of duty and incapacity. By failing to manage critical reforms, they have effectively poured fuel on an already burning fire, deepening public frustration and creating openings for adversaries to exploit. Ethiopia deserves capable, accountable leaders who prioritize the nation’s stability over excuses.
