I've got some news I've been sitting on for a while…
I was selected by Epic Games as a speaker at Unreal Fest Chicago on June 18th at 11:45am...and I might just be the youngest creator they've ever had on stage!
I'll be talking about something I care deeply about: building community in UEFN, and how to develop and grow yourself within the Creator Ecosystem. We're going to deep dive into what it actually looks like to scale as a solo dev, how to market yourself, and how to build a real community around your work; not just an audience.
This one is personal. These are lessons I've learned the hard way, and I can't wait to share them with a room full of people who get it. On top of that, it's my first time in Chicago, and we have FOURTEEN members of the Genesis Studios team attending. Safe to say this is going to be a trip I won't forget!
If you're heading to Unreal Fest, come to my talk! Can't wait to see you
Drop a comment if you'll be there, I'd love to connect in person.
@GenesisStudios
This was my first big UI menu in UEFN after the new tools dropped and a proper stress test for Verse Fields, View Bindings, and the updated UMG workflow.
• 100+ Verse Fields
• 175+ View Bindings
• 40+ Animations
Built the whole menu with reusability + optimization in mind (just 3 textures + a small set of materials). Multiple UX passes later and I’m really happy with how it turned out 🔥
Huge props to @NoahUEFN who handled the entire Verse side, couldn’t have done it without him. And of course @Heavyblue 🐐
Learned a ton of UMG lessons the hard way, might drop a thread with those soon.

Looking at about 10-12 episodes. 4 recorded so far, planning to start releasing on Wednesday.
Goal is to make learning Verse topics simple and fun! Excited for y’all to see it 😁
