Michigan LB Ernest Hausmann was born in Uganda as one of 23 siblings. When his parents contracted AIDS, they were forced to put him up for adoption.

After nearly two decades of living nearly halfway around the world, Hausmann had the chance to travel back to Africa and reconnected with his mother ❤️

I know we all have a long list of iconic Nebraska Volleyball and John Cook moments. This one will rank at the top for me for a very very long time.

I cry every time I watch this. This moment was monumental for so many reasons. It inspired a younger generation, it changed the lives of current players but I’d also argue it was a moment that healed an older generation, like myself.

Thank you Coach for believing in women’s sports and as we know, “Making the impossible possible.”
