At the very end it says Gatsby is “watching over nothing”. This is interesting because it seems like he really believes that he and Daisy will work out when in reality she has come to terms with her life with Tom. There is nothing there for them to pursue. #chp7 #TGGdream

I’m still a little confused on what blue could symbolize but the fact that the car is easy going tells me that it may not actually be a front for emptiness like what yellow, orange, pink etc. usually are. #TGGsymbol #chp7

It’s interesting how Wilson gets physically sick when he discovers his wife’s infidelity, but Daisy and Tom seem to not be affected much by the fact this is occurring in their marriage. Could this simply be normal for the rich rather than the poor. #TGGfake #chp7

The outside of Gatspys car is bright yellow- “citrus wagon” and the inside is made up of green leather. Hmm... yellow is a very happy fulfilling color, and green seems to have a much deeper meaning. #chp7 #TGGcolor

When Gatsby kisses Daisy he describes it as the “incarnation” being complete. Why incarnation? This is as if he is referencing when God himself became man as his experience felt truly celestial. #TGGSymbol #chp6
