@ShaunLeung @RymanArt Same honestly. I also like the creative aspect. The visual aids and cadence are more like a classroom lecture.
For me though, I always preferred seminar style learning. Dialectics and that kinda shit lol 🤓
@ShaunLeung @RymanArt I somewhat dread that this will be the answer🤣 hard for my adhd brain to accept that the thing I want to do, might, like take some time to do lmao
@unsummonedskull Keep your wits about you big dog, remember what you are doing it for. Heed some advice. Ask for help, the people you trust have your back. Do your part, and don't be afraid to fail or take a few steps back when you need to.
Hey if anyone is looking for a remote job, my last company is hiring for an admissions advisor role 50-60k salary. It's inbound phone sales. It's a great team and good company. If you are self-disciplined and need a shot, shoot me a DM with your resume/experience. 🤓
I will add, as a Magic player I'm as freaky and geeky as it gets (neuro-spicy), but I've also bee fortunate to learn how to navigate (slightly) professional (read fake) spaces. Happy to give someone a shot if I can.
But I also LOVE collection Magic cards, its very soothing and it is, rightly or wrongly, enforces or me the message that when I have to sell off my most treasured cards, that I don't deserve to play.
Dumb, I know, but that is what trauma does.
I'm going to build here off my last thread and tie it back into Magic. Raise your hand if you've ever had to go through your decks to pilfer any cards you could to sell off to help buy yourself food?
That's pretty fucked up.
Oh right, the point: have a social fucking safety net so that kind, sensitive, and bright people can pursue their dreams and save the goddamn planet. 😎
I'm going to speak very candidly here about mental health and poverty. I am going to reflect a bit about my recent experiences.
To start, I am 31 years old, I am highly accomplished in many areas of my life, yet I continue to experience the shame of poverty.
Being poor and working class is incredibly challenging, more so when you lack any kind of stable support system (shout out the bois) but you cannot shoulder that blame, and if you know how to look closely, you'll discover that the most driven are often scared as well.
