Nobody prepares you for how much quieter you become in your 30s. You stop needing to be seen, chosen, understood, or validated. You just want to feel rested, regulated, grounded, and at peace.

[Emihle Magxala @MagxalaEM]

Tolerating always turns to resentment. At first, you call it patience, then love. But what it really is, is self-abandonment. Every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern, or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score.
And eventually, the bill comes due.

[Jett ♛ @iky_fwjett]

I finally lost my emotional attachment to everybody so i've just been dealing with them however they deal with me nothing more nothing, less.

[feyisayo 💸 @feyiszn]

The price we end up paying for associating with the wrong people is far too steep for us to not be stricter about who we let into our lives.

We love blaming women for choosing the wrong man, but never blame the man who faked his entire personality just to get her.
