@CSMIA_Official in order prove the navi Mumbai airport was a great idea & not a scam, wants to harass the passengers & airlines too
Time to reach airport will be more than actual flying hours and will cost nearly half the ticket price.
Well done @BJP4India@MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia@IATA@AdaniOnline@IndianExpress
VIDEO | Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on VHP's decision to bar Muslims from garba and dandiya events across Maharashtra during Navratri, says, "...Who are these people to give us a certificate of Hindutva? Who are these people? The point is, whether it is garba, Navratri, Dahi Handi or Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai, the first identity of everyone you see here is that they are Mumbaikars. Whatever language they speak, whichever state they come from, whatever their religion or caste, they come for Bappa. They do not come for any particular person. Bappa belongs to everyone."
On the building collapse at Satya Niketan in south-west Delhi, he says, "Absolutely, the point is that a building has collapsed, as you can see, around Delhi University. But the government is busy only targeting students."

What will it take for India to become a true powerhouse? Scientific temper, strong institutions and the courage to turn ambition into action.

We send missions into space, build world-class airports and run sleek Vande Bharat trains. And then millions of Indians commute like this every day. It’s risky, dangerous and unacceptable. India cannot aspire to first-world infrastructure while accepting this as normal. 😱
Neville D’Souza ground reservation changed to convention centre: BMC general body on Tuesday night approved a proposal to change the reservation of the Neville D’Souza Football Ground at Bandra Reclamation from a playground to a convention and exhibition centre. The civic house has a majority of BJP-Shiv Sena-corporators. The proposal, listed as item 22, was moved by Improvement Committee chairman and Shiv Sena corporator Sandhya Doshi.
Neville Dsouza Football ground-Bandra west: Days before the proposal can come up before the @mybmc civic house for a sanction, the Mumbai Football Association has filed a Writ Petition before the Bombay High Court challenging the proposed change of reservation of the Neville D’Souza Football Ground from Playground (PG) to Exhibition Centre. The matter is listed today before the Court.
Writ Petition (L) No. 27020 of 2026
Court: Hon’ble Chief Justice’s Bench
Serial No.: 938.
The BMC has a 123-year-old Municipal Analyst Laboratory in Dadar where citizens, housing societies and commercial establishments can get food and water samples tested at nominal charges.
The laboratory, established in 1903, tests over 70,000 samples every year, including drinking water, street food, ice, swimming pool water, construction water, school mid-day meals and even prohibited substances such as gutkha and flavoured tobacco. Water testing reports are made available within 24 hours via WhatsApp and email.
Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Prajakta Lavangare Verma has appealed to citizens and businesses to make greater use of the facility to ensure the quality and safety of the food and water they consume or supply.
She also said the BMC is upgrading the laboratory to enable more advanced and detailed testing. The facility, recognised as a State Food Laboratory by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), has analysed over 7 lakh food and water samples in the last decade.
If you are wondering about why India isn’t playing the @FIFAWorldCup , despite the population crossing 1.4 billion people, and why countries with much smaller populations than our smallest cities are playing, stop wondering:
🚨 The bjp regime in the @mybmc , backed by orders from the BJP state government, has just converted the Neville D’souza football ground in Bandra West into a convention centre reservation.
A contractor will get his money, a builder will get location benefits and the convention centre will get a bjp leader’s name.
This ground, for the past 9 years has hosted thousands of players and multiple tournaments each season. From grassroots to elite divisions, the Neville D’Souza football ground hosted it all.
Now despite requests from the Mumbai Football Association, it is barred from using its own ground, and now the open space will have a contractor build a convention centre on it.
Bandra West and reclamation, a high traffic density area will see more traffic, right opposite a hospital.
But bjp’s contractors and builders will smile with glee even as children lose their playground and Bandra adds another block of traffic.
As Mumbai Football Association, of course we will now have to pay to use other grounds, but the government is hell bent on crushing sports in Mumbai, as recreation grounds are converted arbitrarily into build up concrete spaces that have controlled and ticketed access.
The core issue is, taking away playgrounds from the youth, taking away grounds from associations and then debating over the future of the game is pointless.
My protest earlier saved 2 recreation grounds in Mumbai, but the bjp wants this plot to name it after one of their leaders as a convention centre.
We also saved the city’s municipal blood banks from privatisation- but this ground was their focus.
This was @AUThackeray's project when he was the Environment Minister. Have the grace to give credit where it's due.
As for locals, this walkway having opened up a pristine forest to polluting citizens who think nothing of chucking their trash in it, is a big nuisance!
A gentle reminder to the Government of Maharashtra: Had they not scrapped the Desalination Plant project in Manori, initiated by us, by now Mumbai wouldn’t need water cuts.
While Mindhe’s illegal government scrapped our project, the new bjp government has approved Gargai Dam- which not only cuts more than 5,00,000 trees in a wildlife sanctuary, but keeps the city of Mumbai monsoon dependent.
And while Maharashtra has no drinking water, the parties in government forget to govern and only indulge in dirt politics of buying out MPs and pride over the end of democracy.
Congratulations to @AndyBurnhamGM on your election victory!
We fondly remember your conversations with @AUThackeray on fairer transport, from Manchester bus fares to London train tickets, drawing on Mumbai’s BEST flat-fare bus model during COP26.
It isn't Mumbai but its administrators who are! It's they, who've decided to target whatever little that brings joy and well-being to its citizens. And they are succeeding—one tree/mangrove, at a time. Because the judiciary is in cahoots with them!
Philippines is an underdeveloped country like India. But
