India has the among the lowest data prices in the world. It is so good that I don't even bother to connect to local Wifi when I travel in India and just tether my phone to work on my computer. Indians routinely have dual SIM phones with large data plans because they are so affordable. Ambani's launch of Jio is directly responsible for the low data prices Indians enjoy.

India has among the lowest drug prices in the world (and going lower still). People who visit India buy medicines to take home quite regularly now.

India has among the lowest cost payment systems in the world in UPI.

On the other hand, Tesla is protected from Chinese competition in the US market, keeping EV prices higher in America than elsewhere.

Prime Minister Modi has worked hard to create a competitive economy where the benefits flow to the average Indian. His government does not tolerate monopolies. He has also actively promoted and encouraged a massive surge in startups and that is the best signal of a highly competitive economy.

Directly due to Modi government policy, Indian startups are making major advances in low cost rockets and that poses a threat to SpaceX the same say the Chinese EVs threaten Tesla.

These are the facts Elon.

Ouch!! That must hurt @elonmusk
No billionaire should dictate a nation’s policy- Indian or American.
Well said and well explained.

[Friends of RSS @friendsofrss]

Dear Rahul Gandhi,

You say you have understood the RSS “inside out” for over a decade. Yet your understanding of its history seems to have skipped a few chapters.

Your great-grandfather’s government banned the RSS in 1948. Your grandmother’s government banned it during the Emergency in 1975. Another Congress-led government banned it in 1992.

Three bans. Three attempts to stop an organisation that began in 1925.

And what happened?

The bans were lifted. The RSS continued. And the organisation you keep declaring finished is still here.

If banning an organisation were enough to erase it, your family’s political legacy would have settled this question decades ago. Instead, you are still holding press conferences and writing posts about the same organisation.

You call the RSS cowardly. But during the Emergency, when civil liberties were suspended and opposition leaders were jailed, RSS volunteers were among those who participated in resistance to the regime. Your grandmother’s government even banned the RSS while jailing political opponents.

Quite an interesting definition of cowardice, Mr Gandhi.

And please spare us the dramatic declarations about defending the Constitution. The Constitution is not the property of one political dynasty, one party, or one family. India belongs to its people.

You say you have the information you need. Excellent. Then present evidence, not theatrical threats. Name your allegations, establish the facts, and let the public judge.

The RSS has faced bans, criticism, political opposition and decades of hostility. It has continued its work regardless. You are free to disagree with its ideology, but calling millions of people cowards does not make your argument stronger.

A final historical reminder: the RSS was founded in 1925. Your political family has held the highest office in India for decades. Yet, nearly a century later, you are still trying to convince the country that the RSS is about to disappear.

Perhaps the real question is not why the RSS has survived all these years.

Perhaps it is why Congress still needs the RSS to be its principal villain.

Debate ideas with facts, Rahul ji. History has already heard enough slogans.

While @elonmusk is a phenomenal innovator and entrepreneur this tweet is in extremely poor taste. To suggest that India is controlled by one industrialist is both absurd and deeply disrespectful. India is a lively, vibrant democracy with a transparent economy and strong institutions.

The United States has consistently protected its own economic and national security interests. Electric vehicles face 100% tariffs, effectively keeping companies like BYD out of the US passenger car market. There are stringent restrictions on telecom equipments on national security grounds. The FCC is now proposing to bar testing laboratories in several countries from certifying electronic devices for the US market.

If the United States can legitimately protect its national security, why should India be denied the same sovereign right?

India welcomes innovation, investment and fair competition. But no global corporation, however influential, can expect India to compromise its national interests or dictate its policies.

What is considered national security in America cannot suddenly become protectionism in India. @PMOIndia @narendramodi @JM_Scindia

GST…

It is no normal journey.

Modi was swimming against a tsunami of hate generated by local forces aided by global forces from the moment he courageously faced the Islamist onslaught in Godra in 2001

For a decade local and global forces inimical to Bharat and him worked 24x7 to politically liquidate him.

He overcame and defeated all of them and conquered the country

He built a powerful psychic, political, philosophical, physical, financial, security infra and made the world look at India and him

The US which denied visa to him earlier invited him on its own All nations which denied visas to him did the same

He conquered the world for India. The morning consult US rates him since 2019 as the most popular leader in and out of India

He made India a global power of ideas and strategies

He is now a worlds most influential and respected leaders. World leaders look to him for lead

Thanks to him India’s statue is now higher than most nations’. Today the EU ambassador says at the famous Munich Security Summit

"I admit that countries like let's say the Netherlands or Italy or Germany are middle powers and will probably remain middle powers... In my humble opinion, India is a different story. You have the potential of going far beyond this description of middle power."

An India which was always enamoured of America in the past enters into mega and mother of all trade deals with all nations and blocks but cancels trade talks with the US

All this happened because of one determined patriot, nationalist of exceptional courage and hard work

He is the cutting edge product of the RSS whose 100 year mission made today’s Bharath and shaped Modi into what he is.

His 25 years in office is a continuation of his 50 years in the streets — the same hard work, the same struggle, in the same spirit.

I have observed him closely since 1990. He is to me the same simple man, though from a distance looks tough and different because-he is a loner in more than one sense

He is one man who has the blessings of the greatest saints and seers of India who continuously pray for his success. Some of them have told me they pray for him every day. Millions and millions of ordinary countrymen pray for him expecting nothing personally, only because he lives only for Ma Bharati

He is Mother Bharathi’s chosen son for Mission Bharath

Let the Divine bless to serve Ma Bharathi more - which is the only mission of him as I know. Once that mission is over I believe he will turn to where be really belongs — the Himalayas from where he came blessed by divine souls
