@ExtremeCen80240@Handre It's easy to say these things in hindsight. It was a passenger plane built at the very limit of available technology of the time, not a ground attack aircraft.
And yes, it killed a lot of people; who knows if they were haughty, although most were certainly rich.
It seems to me that the role of the grid will be to cover for when the sun is gone and people's batteries have discharged.
This will mean a much higher cost per kWh as the demand will be much more variable and will require lots of storage and/or fast reacting inefficient peaker plants (unless you have lots of hydro, in which case it should be easy enough).
@Muinchille have you any references to that?
It seems to me that it was basically carelessness and not considering where they were storing their ammunition or what they were shelling that caused it.
