That is why it is important that the individual who must live with the results & consequences of a body modification be the one who request them of their own volition.

By leaving a child’s genitals alone, we allow them to have agency over body as they grow up.

"What you don't experience". Yes, I will never experience my full genitals as I was mutilated as an infant. I will never experience a full sexual encounter. My senses will always be dulled and calloused. Trauma has many faces, some not seen until much later in life.
