Does anyone know if you can use the four day Irish passport appointment service for a renewal of a damaged passport? @PassportIRL

@DiscoFpl @PaulWils9 I emailed the passport ombudsman who replied saying they had forwarded it to passport office for action. A day later all passports were printing. Coincidence or not i don’t know! My sister did the same & got a that wasn’t as helpful so it seems it’s who you get but worth a try!

After 14 weeks our baby’s Irish passport has finally gone to print 🙌 never thought the day would come 😅 to anyone in the same boat - be persistent! Get in touch with whoever you can to contact them on your behalf. We have had numerous politicians do so over last few wks (1/2)

@PaulWils9 Hi Paul yes we have got it now thank god. It changed to printing Thursday evening, was dispatched Friday and we got it yesterday 😊 hopefully yours will come soon

With 3 of us sisters all in the same boat for our babies, all going on the one family holiday, we must have been in touch with about 20 different politicians as well as the Minster’s & Taoiseach’s office and it has finally paid off 🙏🏻

@MichaelCarroth4 @PassportIRL We applied 17th Feb for our daughters first & still have not got it. It has been processing for months and now more than 3 weeks past the issue date. Spoke to someone a few weeks ago in the office and was told it would be flagged as it had past the date but still no change

@LawlorNikki @PassportIRL Hi Nikki was it a first time app? We applied 17th feb, 14 weeks now and still nothing. Weeks past the issue date 😢 it doesn’t seem to mean anything to be honest. Ours has just gone backwards now instead but still says the same date

@ciara_mcsherry @PassportIRL We applied mid Feb for my daughters 1st & still haven’t got it. Weeks past due date. Spoke to lady on the phone a couple of weeks ago and told it would be flagged but still no change. 3 sisters all in the same boat for our children. It is so stressful

@fitz1986 @PassportIRL We have been on processing for almost 3 months now. Applied in February and still nothing. Spoke to someone two weeks ago who said it would be flagged and escalated as it had past the due date but still no change 😢

Spoke to someone at the start of last week & told it would be flagged as is now overdue but still no change ����

@ThomNolan @PassportIRL It’s first time applications that there is a problem with. They are processing renewals next day rather than spending time to look at the first times. I am waiting 13 weeks for my daughters & have seen people waiting 6 months or more

@pickett_gavin @PassportIRL The issue date seem to be compeltely random & mean nothing! I applied same day as you & my issue date was 5/5. My two sisters both applied after & got dates before 🤷‍♀️ I got through eventually on the phone last week & was told it would be raised with manager but still no change 😭

I’ve been on to a few different political representatives and still nothing. Seen a few who have applied after getting theirs in the last few days too 😔
