So someone like Brock who was a great wrestler, but no experience in anything else, will have a hard time. Single discipline won't work today in MMA (sport).

I would take a wrestler over a boxer or Muay Thai, all day. Can't punch if you're folded into a pretzel. And can't stop the takedown.
