Perfect timing for this discourse, as I just got off the phone with my mom.

The beach in my hometown is now members only.

The cheap kayak rental place by the river was bought out by a real estate brokerage and closed down.

They've banned using water guns at public gatherings.

And they're not doing carnival rides at the local summer festival anymore.
