A Pentagon report submitted to Congress documented the deaths of 153 civilians and the injury of 243 others in 2025 in US military operations, a sharp increase from the two deaths and two injuries recorded in 2024.

All of the reported casualties resulted from three US airstrikes in Yemen in April 2025, while the US Central Command is still assessing 15 additional incidents involving reported civilian harm as of February 2026.

However, the figures exclude civilians killed or wounded in US attacks on Iran, as well as operations in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, which raises questions about the accuracy and criteria of the report.
