This is the second YouTuber movie that was great all the way through but ended with an annoying amount of unanswered questions

I feel like that’s pretty inarguable that we’re seeing a side of the back rooms that just isn’t shown in the YouTube series

I mean, part of the reason why there’s so many games is because of that ambiguity

@Andi_Rodd If it’s not a prequel, then it is weird how none of the things that showed up a lot in the original series appeared in the movie and something that was a minor part of the original was the main focus

@Andi_Rodd This video proposes an interesting theory that it’s a prequel, which could explain a lot of things but yeah, the bacteria just usually shows up and it didn’t but instead still life’s played a much bigger part than they do in the YouTube series

To all the people commenting,
1: Unanswered questions doesn’t mean I think it was bad
2: Wanting a few more of them answered doesn’t mean I want it just explained to me or completely get rid of the mystery.
3: just because I prefer puzzles over just “make your own interpretation man” doesn’t mean you have to, if you like movies like that, that’s great, but I prefer when there’s like four possible answers to something with a good amount of evidence supporting each rather than a Bajillion different perspectives.

@Andi_Rodd The still lives and the behavior they’re taking on weren’t in the original YouTube series to my knowledge, and we don’t see the bacteria monster, which was a common thing in the originals

The still life’s and how they function are new, to my knowledge the company didn’t set up seemingly booby traps with cavemen cut outs and cameras, it could all be in the same universe, but clearly he’s adding new elements, which is great. He has more resources to do so but the deviation or I guess you could call it expanding of the possibilities means there’s just more possibilities

@TVoRadio Never said they didn’t answer any questions. I just didn’t expect the movie to end where it did without the scientist giving us a little more to chew on, the YouTube series could probably answer a few, but we don’t know for sure because this seems to be a different interpretation

Sat down and had a whole conversation with the boys right after, there’s definitely questions it does answer, but it leads to more questions and when it comes to making any theories about that, it literally boiled down to “well I think it would be cool” or “there’s like one or two things that might suggest-“

The theory videos I’ve seen on YouTube so far aren’t much better

@scarmigliones True, but we can’t really reliably take from the previous series because the movie already deviated a good amount from that. It’s gonna be cool to see what interpretation he takes if we get sequels, but the movie seems to leave us in the dark about that
