Future generations should hear wolves howl.
Future generations should hear whales sing.
Future generations should hear frogs after the rain.
Future generations should hear a living planet.
I grieve even more for the (other) animals than I do humans because they are totally innocent bystanders to the Climate Collapse that human males have caused. Since humans have proved incapable of rejecting patriarchy & capitalism, human extinction is now inevitable & necessary.
Americans forget that it’s the duty of the government to provide a prosperous society for us to live in. They owe us clean water, safe communities, funded schools, healthy food, universal healthcare, reliable public transport, etc.
That’s not entitlement, that’s the baseline.
Laena burned because Targaryens were never actually immune to fire. Daenerys surviving Drogo’s funeral pyre wasn’t because she was a Targaryen. It was a one time magical event tied to blood magic and the birth of her dragons.
A lot of people mistake Daenerys’ miracle for a Targaryen ability, but the lore doesn’t support that. If every Targaryen were fireproof, Laena, Viserys, and several others wouldn’t have died the way they did.
“You shouldn’t speak ill of the deceased”
No….. the deceased should have been better people when alive.
Lindsey Graham doesn’t get a pass for being a repugnant, vile and reprehensible creature.🤷🏽♀️
“It felt like too much trauma at once”’in reference to the massive civil war that destroys an ancient dragonlord house and basically wipes out dragons and magic in the world…ok
Ryan Condal on the decision to keep Rhaenyra’s youngest sons, Aegon and Viserys, away from the Battle of the Gullet in #HouseOfTheDragon :
“A great example is, during the Battle of the Gullet in the book, Rhaenyra [Emma D'Arcy] sends her two youngest sons with Daemon [Matt Smith], who in the show [are aged down], and the eldest one is not yet ready to fly his dragon; he flees and warns the Sea Snake. It's a really visceral and memorable scene in the book. But, going into Season 1, we took 30 years of history and decided, "We're going to make it 20,” because, at some point, it becomes too broad and vast. And while that got us out of having to recast everyone, it also meant the youngest kids in the story either didn't exist yet in the timeline or were that much younger. So Rhaenyra and Damon's kids are basically toddlers, and, in television, toddlers are not characters—they’re props. You're dealing with the practical concerns of, these kids can't act because they're 4-year-olds, it’s not safe to have them do stunts, and you can't create a CG kid and make it realistic.
We also felt that the Gullet [in the show] became so much about Rhaenyra’s loss of her son Jace [Harry Collett] that it felt like too much trauma at once. So all these things factored into us saying, “We need to be responsible adapters and producers of television.” It was a much cleaner story to tell for this totally different medium that we have to engage with on a much more emotional level. It was a bummer that we couldn’t [adapt] that part of the battle, but we understand where that story goes, and we have a plan for it. We debated for a long time, and there was a lot of sweating and consternation in the room, but, ultimately, I think it was the right decision.”

i can't help but to be PISSED everytime i saw someone said "i hope your future child is queer" to the homophobes because no queer children deserve to have homophobic parents.
I still DO NOT understand how so many of you were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.
It’s 250 years of freedom for white men only.
It’s 106 years of voting freedom for white women.
It’s 72 years of voting freedom for Asian immigrants.
It’s 61 years of voting freedom for Black people.
It’s 51 years of voting rights for Native Peoples, but we all know that’s a farce when their lands were stripped from them and their ways of life were classified illegal.
It’s 10 years of marriage freedom for queer couples.
It’s 0 years of voting freedom for Puerto Ricans.
PSA:
We have had birthright citizenship since the beginning of our country (really the 14th Amendment in 1868 but for practical purposes it went much farther back). Nothing changed yesterday
Thank you for your attention to this matter
Remember that SpongeBob episode where King Neptune made thousands of patties at once using magic and they tasted like slop, whilst SpongeBob’s single patty tasted amazing because it was made with love and dedication?
