West Charlotte senior Malachi Thompson is named the first recipient of the GenerationNation Civic Leadership Award! Chase Howard, CMYC President and member of the GenerationNation board, announced the award and recognized Malachi at the May 22 Celebrating Student Leaders event.
GenerationNation will forever be family for me! These four years has been BLESSED! I’m grateful that I have learned, built friendships and relationships within CMYC. Now I can leave this work in capable hands to continue the process of building back better into our community.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Youth Council honored Malachi Thompson with being it’s first Longest Running President, honored with naming a scholarship and an award after him and Malachi Thompson being its inaugural recipient.
