Right after I left, I met another person whose brother has Down’s syndrome and we had a lengthy conversation on everything he loves about his brother and he told me all about his academic and social journey. Completely struck by the differences in what people truly value. #SEND

First post in 5 years! Was discussing my work in special needs with ‘a PhD student’ I just met yesterday and he physically mocked people with Down’s syndrome. Tried to educate him on the subject but unfortunately some people are just not worth the energy. #2020? #SEND
