Abuse is never okay or excusable. If things weren't working out between him and wife at the time then he should have separated and gave each other some space to out things into perspective before reuniting you know cool off but don't make excuses for domestic violence. That's not cool.
Learn from the Democrats in 2016 and 2024 and hold an actual contest for the presidency. In 2016, the democratic party: Fired Tulsi Gabbard as vice chair of the DNC, increased then chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz coordination and authority over state and county caucus and primary election oversight, and increased super delegates influence just so that Hillary Clinton could become the nominee.
In 2024, the Democrats did not hold a primary and Biden essentially chose Harris to be the party's nominee. Both of these incidents have left a lasting negative impression of the party on the American public and the GOP would do well to let the people decide the party's nominee and not the establishment or insiders of the party like the Demcorats did.
By the way, if Thom Tillis wanted a non MAGA person to be the 2028 GOP nominee for president he should've kept his mouth shut. It's highly unlikely that Marco Rubio or someone less MAGA or not MAGA will get the nomination when these RINOs keep reminding everyone that they are preferred by them.
It poisons the well when a conservative hears that a RINO likes someone, it means do not vote for them and I wouldn't be surprised if it details their chances.
That's not AI.. that's the dystopia that many people like myself see the Republicans as representing. Point one thing that I said that the GOP nominee for governor would not do if he were elected governor? Because let's face it: All of that is what is likely to occur and it's why he faces an uphill battle. Folks aren't dumb. They know what party brings what kind of policy in when elected. It's a pattern at this point. Anyone trusting what these ticians say and not what they have done is wanting to be a victim of ignorance 's tyranny.
I think Americans are fatigued by the many challenges we face. The cost of everything has gone up, jobs are becoming more stressful and demanding, we have a government that isn't doing enough to save our tax dollars from waste, fraud, and abuse. On top of that, hormones and other chemicals meant to make us sick are added into our food, snacks, and drinks.
Everything seems like it is going to shit and we have leaders that complain about each other rather than realizing that have a country that is disintegrating right in front of them as they remain distracted by irrelevant things like poll numbers and statistics. We deserve a government that will actually address the issues instead beating around the bush.
War is never easy and it is drains the life out of the participating countries. Russia and Ukraine have both lost many soldiers in defense of their respective nations, too many people kidnapped including children and teenagers, and lots of property damage including civilian residences/neighborhoods and critical services like hospitals. It is time for this war to end sooner than later and that an agreement be reached on a long term peace between the two nations.
Well I am not biologically a woman and I do not identify as one but I support reproductive rights as a matter of principle. The problem with Republicans running the government of both New York state and New York city is larger than reducing abortion rights. That is just one of the things that will be pursued by them.
Yes it is codified in New York so they would likely go after financial assistance for abortions which could lead to poor people carrying a rapist or incestuous man's child to term which is the most concerning pregnancy cause that there is.
When it comes to job for example, a 🔴 government in NY would definitely reduce the minimum wage, abolish or restrict labor unions, and reduce the overall benefits for workers that jobs provide therefore making Healthcare, paid time off, and childcare, and education, and other expenses that jobs help with in exchange for both regular work and overtime something that you would now have to shoulder the cost for on your own under their labor plans.
For many people all of the expenses needed to be a healthy and productive worker could swallow large swaths of their income in addition to bills and taxes that have to be paid.
A conservative government also means an increase in the surveillance state and the powers in which law enforcement has to make unconstitutional arrests.
Across the board, conservatives leading a state and city like NY would represent a culture shock for the people there. Folks are used to being able to do most of what they desire to on the condition that it harms no one else and under conservatives that rule is often broken. If it risky to anyone then it is okay to assume that the people want it regulated. Their bad on policy and I don't have all day to further explain so I digress.
Abdul El-Sayed is just going to have to hold this L. This is why you are supposed to not accept someone's endorsement unless you actually know what they stand for and what they tend to say. The Hasan Piker that you see on Twitch daily and on YouTube uploads is the same Hasan Piker from when he first started doing streams.
His behavior and his stances aren't brand-new. He is a provocateur. He say and do provocative things in hopes that his belief and feelings and the things he say are taken seriously.
It's fake to ask him to tone himself down and not to be himself in order to moderate your campaign by affiliation so that you may be elected. You could've just not accepted his endorsement if you are worried about how it looks and sounds to be associated with him.
I wouldn't change a thing if I were Hasan Piker. Abdul could lose my number and my support if he is that worried about appeasing the Michigan right and some of the Michigan center that have disappointed the people and denied the solutions to their needs for so long.
Michiganders deserve a bold candidate and that starts with someone who is at basic, prideful of what and who they know. If you will retract that in order to be like them you will renege on anything and that is the truth. 💯
Abdul needs to become a stronger candidate in the closing months. Stop trying to water down this progressive movement and take charge. Be unapologetic about what you believe in and that's how you win and ultimately make change. 💯
The wealth tax is a bad idea and it will send California's billionaires packing to leave for other states with lower overall taxes or residency in a tax haven like Monaco where there is no tax on earnings.
If these billionaires leave they are not only taking their wealth but their influence, their power, and their connections that have helped grow California's economy to the number in the USA and the sixth largest in the world were they to become their own nation.
It is silly to let them leave over a 5% surcharge tax when their influence brings more revenue than the wealth tax ever will. Kill the tax.
I love ❤️ Japan but Japan is not the leader of artificial intelligence (AI) or superintelligence (SI) it is The United States of America. Only countries with deep experience and investment in AI's development can properly govern it because our nations such as USA, China, India, South Korea, and others know when and when not to regulate AI through trial and error.
Artificial intelligence like any form of technology can be a force for good and it is. One of the good things that AI is working on is 3D and 4D printing of human tissues and production of artificial yet viable human organs for transplants so that people can live without having to be on a waiting list.
But the downside to AI is that many could lose their ability to feel and relate to others. It could lead to a brain drain as people replace book study research with Ch-TGPT and Ope-AI.
I see an society that has the potential to be disconnected to each other because most if not all needs and wants have been fulfilled by AI and that is dangerous for mankind longterm.
AI should be regulated against abusive use of it and laxed in promotion of its benefits. There should be an AI rubric that determines when and why and how to regulate AI given the circumstance. Those are my thoughts on it.
Just because Los Angeles and San Diego didn’t vote for you to be President doesn’t mean that you should suggest or put them in hypothetical threats from a foreign nation. That in itself ought to be an impeachable offense, welcoming harm to an American city/state because they didn’t vote for you, that is treasonous and a dereliction of duty under our laws, code, and constitution.
I think that James Talarico will come out on top and win the senate race against Ken Paxton. Ken Paxton comes off as though he is entitled to the seat whereas Talarico understands that Texas is not a monolith and anything is possible if you go out there, believe in yourself, and be willing to answer questions with conviction and honesty.
That’s what Talarico did that I think makes all the difference and is such a vote getter: He met the people of Texas where they lived and worshipped and he answered their questions, he asked questions back, and he spoke about what he believes. He spoke with passion and substance and for those reasons I think that he should become Texas next United States senator.
I love when they eat each other and by the way he is correct. ☑️ Republicans are dumb. Democrats whether you love them or hate them, tend to govern as if they expect not to be in power long. They try to accomplish or accomplish most if not all of their agenda whilst they have the chance to.
There’s nothing significant that the Republican 🔴 majority accomplished in the house or senate on the behalf of the American people. Even by their own voters’s metric they have failed. Many conservatives wanted to see Trump’s agenda codified into law by passing the SAVE act and other bills into law in order to make it harder to undo his agenda without congressional approval and oversight. They didn’t even get that done. Mike Johnson and John Thune’s leadership are useful to no one.
Collins voted for Kavanaugh and Gorsuch who became the deciding votes for overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022. She voted against the second impeachment of Donald Trump because she thought that he had learned his lesson.
These are just two examples of how her senate voting record contradicts what she claims to be in pursuit of protecting. She vows impartiality yet her votes only enabled the corruption that we see from Donald Trump going forward. She cannot be trusted. The truth is she only disagrees with Trump during election time.
Whenever it gets close to the election is when she begins to zigzag her votes for his agenda and his administration. The true identity of a senator is what and who they vote for once they win re-election or are in the beginning or middle of their term and those votes from her tended to show approval for Donald Trump so no, I don’t trust that she has any genuine reservations about him, his policies, or his administration.
It’s all to game the voters in voting for her. She wants to come off reliable to Trump supporters and fair to the people who don’t support him but her wishy washy both ways style of governing has only led to neither being sure if she is their ally. She comes off as in it for herself and will say and do whatever it takes just to get re-elected.
Maine deserves better. Maine deserves decisiveness and knowing where their senator stands. Maine deserves to oust Susan Collins from the United States senate this year.
This is ridiculous that you have leaders in government that act like children and cannot behave properly and keep their hands to themselves unless provoked. What happened to self control.
Children act better than this. That’s the whole point of government, to replace dispute through peaceful not violent redress? What is the point of even having a government then if you are not going to debate and discuss and solve issues peacefully and respectfully.
Shame on those in the Memphis City Council who were fighting and those who were around and did nothing. Shame on all of them.
