@soheilazarpour In theory it should be ok. Just me and 60gals, she regularly gets off on paved in ~500'. I'm going to do some more soft field work to get a better sense of capability. It's definitely more pilot skill than airplane holding things up at this point!
Just pushed some updates to the MapDemo repository. Current location marker, diagnostic tiles, GeoPDF and shaded terrain demos now available. Github repo: https://t.co/eRVpMLc2rn
SITREP: Just posted first (and VERY preliminary) demo project of the CartoLake map engine. More will be coming out over the next few weeks. Please let me know if there are any specific demos that would be interesting! https://t.co/eRVpMLcAgV
SITREP: Automatic polygon extrusion based on shape file attributes is getting closer. Interesting thing about this iteration is the formula based label creation. Using something like an excel formula to conditionally generate the labels opens up a lot of possibilities!
Friday's project: Cut out a chunk of the back, added some noise dampening and painted the custom speaker cab I've been using to record with. Realized the speaker is not supposed to be in a closed back cab! 🤦♂️
@lauralaban @jasonrosewell No worries! Just meant that occasionally pushing yourself by adjusting personal mins (esp. when flying with a second set of eyes) can help build confidence, but should always have exit/alternative strategy/etc.
@jasonrosewell I feel like your boss would understand if you were late because you needed to deviate :). For real though, higher pressure/stakes flying is good. Helps create more confidence/etc. If you have to deviate, there's always a way to get there eventually.
