The Data Behind the Mission
This statistic from Dr. Jim McNamara’s study (cited in "Men on Strike") remains the North Star for this account: 69% of media commentary on men is unfavorable. Only 12% is favorable. When the narrative is this heavily skewed, the impact on fathers, sons, and mentors is profound.
Male Positive Media has spent the last 13 years working to move that needle.
Our Goals for the 10K Push:
Counter the Unfavorable: We explicitly challenge the 69% by highlighting the "bumbling dad" and "villain" tropes that have become the media's default.
Expand the 12%: We actively seek out and celebrate the stories of male competence, sacrifice, and steady character that the mainstream often ignores.
The 10,000 Follower Milestone: We are pushing to reach 10,000 followers to amplify this message. This isn't just a number; it is about building a collective voice large enough that the 69% statistic can no longer be ignored by those who create our culture.
If you believe that the 12% "favorable" window needs to grow, join us. Help us hit 10K.
Follow, Repost, and let’s change the narrative together.

Stop the UN Appointing an Extreme Activist as Secretary-General
The battle over who will become the next Secretary-General of the United Nations has already begun, and the outcome could have devastating consequences for the UK and beyond.
The leading contender, Michelle Bachelet, is not just another international diplomat.
She is an extreme ideological activist who could soon become one of the most powerful unelected figures on earth.

It was past midnight in Lafayette, Indiana, when Nick Bostic noticed an orange glow flickering through the darkness.
He didn't hesitate for a second.
He pulled over, ran to the front door of a stranger's burning house — and walked in.
Inside, smoke was already stealing the air. But somewhere in those rooms were five children. Nick didn't know that yet. He just knew he couldn't drive past.
One by one, he found them. He guided four kids through the choking darkness and out to safety — pushing each one toward the door, toward the night air, toward breathe.
Then someone grabbed his arm.
"There's still one inside."
Nick turned around and walked back in.
The smoke was lower now. Thicker. Visibility was almost nothing. But somewhere in that house was a 6-year-old girl, and Nick Bostic was not leaving without her.
He found her.
He scooped her up, tucked her small body against his chest — and when the stairs and the door were gone, he jumped from a second-story window, holding her the entire way down.
All five children made it out alive.
Nick was injured. He was treated at the hospital. When reporters asked him why he went back in, he looked almost confused by the question.
"I just did what anyone would've done. I couldn't leave her in there."
He's a 25-year-old stranger who happened to be driving by. He didn't know those kids. He owed them nothing.
He gave them everything.
Why do so many young men
feel they must prove they’re harmless?
For many, adulthood begins with suspicion
rather than encouragement.
When masculinity is treated as something to justify,
it can shape confidence, identity, and belonging.

There’s a pervasive narrative today that women’s health is the one being neglected. Campaigns, billions in funding, and endless media attention pour into women’s issues globally. But the data tells a different story: men’s health is in crisis, and it’s being ignored. Read my latest over on S to kick off Men’s Health Month: https://t.co/GZ7sQpryOG
I just got back from an 11 day trip around the scenic state of Colorado before schools let out for summer.
For some reason I was unable to access Patriarchy Central from my smartphone, but can do so from my desktop.
I hope you all were OK without my guidance for this period.

PRESS ADVISORYFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
National Coalition for Men to Blanket Chicago Area with Men' s Billboard Campaign on Memorial Day
Chicago, IL — May 2026 — The Chicago Chapter of the National Coalition for Men (NCFM) will launch a public awareness initiative this Memorial Day to honor the historic sacrifices of American men in times of war.
On Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, NCFM will unveil a series of billboard advertisements across the Chicago area as part of its “Men’s Holiday Billboard Campaign.” The Chicago Chapter of NCFM will hold a press conference on Zoom at 2 pm Central Time. Speakers will present the Chicago campaign and announce the upcoming national Men’s Holiday Billboard Campaign. The link to the press conference is https://t.co/bt8PbSsgzx or directly through the zoom link.
The advertisements will appear on 15 billboards in strategic locations across the Chicago area. There will also be one billboard in Los Angeles and another in Lemon Grove, California The campaign is designed to recognize men’s contributions and sacrifices and change the conversation about men and men’s rights.
The billboard message reads:
“1.4 Million American Men Have Died Defending our Nation. Remembering Men’s Sacrifices Memorial Day 2026 https://t.co/9Yrh0Dpaqw”
For over two centuries, the defense of the United States has relied heavily on the service and sacrifice of men. More than one million American service members have died in wartime, with the overwhelming majority being men. Millions more have returned home with lifelong physical disabilities or psychological trauma as a result of combat.
The NCFM Chicago Chapter’s campaign seeks to bring greater public awareness to this historical reality and to ensure that the contributions of men are recognized alongside the broader observance of Memorial Day.
“Memorial Day is a time to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country,” said a spokesperson for the Chicago Chapter of NCFM. “This campaign highlights the scale of that sacrifice and encourages reflection on the role men have played in defending our nation.”
Men die not only to defend our country, but also to protect women and children. The billboard campaign for Memorial Day sheds light on the truth about men’s experience.
Men are disposable whereas women are protected. This disadvantage is often overlooked in discussions about gender equality, and men suffer for it.
The Men’s Holiday Billboard Campaign is part of a broader effort by NCFM to promote awareness of men’s issues, including military service, mental health, and equal rights.
For too long, men have been demonized as toxic and as the cause of war. The reality is that men die fighting wars. It’s time to look at the facts.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES:
Interviews with NCFM Chicago Chapter representatives
On-site billboard coverage (locations available upon request)
Commentary on men’s issues, military service, and Memorial Day significance
ABOUT THE NATIONAL COALITION FOR MEN (NCFM):
Since 1977, NCFM has been committed to ending harmful discrimination and stereotypes against boys, men, their families and the women who love them. We are a gender inclusive, nonpartisan, ethnically diverse organization that effects civil rights reform through advocacy, education, outreach, services and litigation.

I've grown rather tired of the narrative that young men are simply choosing to fail. Most of them are trying in a world that hasn't done nearly enough to meet them halfway. Watch the full Modern Wisdom episode with @ChrisWillx wherever you get your podcasts.
The Way Men Are Always Portrayed
Turn on a TV show. Any show. Doesn’t matter what it is.
Then sit there for ten minutes and just watch how men are portrayed.
Not the main character. Not the hero. Just the average guy.
The husband.
The boyfriend.
The dad.
He’s usually one of three things.
Clueless.
Incompetent.
Or the punchline.
He forgets everything.
Messes everything up.
Needs to be corrected constantly.
Meanwhile the woman in the same scene?
Calm.
Capable.
Always right.
And we’re all just supposed to accept that like it’s normal. Like that’s just how things are.
But here’s the thing that wasn’t always the case... Go back a few decades and you had men portrayed as strong capable leaders in their families
Not perfect, but respected.
Now? It’s like the default setting is “man equals problem.”
And people wonder why it matters. They’ll dismiss it as no big deal saying things like:
“It’s just TV.”
“It’s just commercials.”
“It’s just jokes.”
Except it’s not just one show… It’s all of them.
Over and over it’s the same message. The Same framing.
And when you repeat something enough people start to believe it.
Especially kids… Especially boys.
They grow up watching that and what do they see?
Men who are jokes.
Men who can’t lead.
Men who need to be managed.
That sticks whether people want to admit it or not.
Because if you never see men portrayed with respect you stop associating men with respect.
And if you’re a boy watching that you start to wonder where you fit in that picture.
And if you’re a man? You’re expected to just laugh it off.
The responses are the same every time I bring it up…
“Don’t be so sensitive.”
“It’s just humor.”
But funny how it only goes one direction.
You don’t see the same constant portrayal flipped the other way.
In fact you rarely if ever see a woman portrayed the way men are cause that wouldn’t fly and everybody knows it.
This isn’t about wanting men to be perfect. It’s about balance. It’s about reality.
Because men aren’t just one thing.
We’re not all clueless.
We’re not all incompetent.
And we’re definitely not all the punchline.
But if that’s the only version that gets shown you can’t be surprised when people start treating it like it’s truth.
And you also can’t be surprised when men start checking out of a system that constantly tells them they’re the problem.
Which is exactly what they’re doing.
