First short featuring Lyra Malfoy, "Girl at Madam Malkin's."
This takes place during the first portion of "The Philosopher's Stone." Harry encounters a difficult girl who will come to be a thorn in his side at Hogwarts.

I guess it doesn't have to be a stuffed animal. It could be some mundane magical object that reflects the frenemies to lovers transition. Something which initially appears spiteful but becomes sentimental with time.
Malfoid would probably acquire some kind of sentimental keepsake like a stuffed animal or something that's meant to mock Harry, but it later becomes something she's unintentionally developed a deep emotional attachment to.
I'm sure rereading the books will give me some ideas.
Lyra Malfoy is a brat who wants people to like her. People DO like her, but it's more out of reverence of her family name and reputation.
Harry Potter is the first boy at Hogwarts who approaches her like she's a blank slate, with no preconceived notions of her.
I'm a believer in quality over quantity. I'm taking my time rereading the HP books, digesting the ideas contained in them and trying to find interesting ways to retell bits that add Malfoid without degrading the source material (which people seem to often disregard).
I know this is probably going to sound like a nitpick but could the other Malfoid writers please tidy up their format and make it easier to read before posting it? I'm seeing a lot of blobs of text being passed around.
Affinity is the software I use for formatting.
I"m still rereading Chamber of Secrets, but man, Rowling really does not do much with Malfoy early on in the books. He's a bully, but nothing he does ever feels much more than generic snobby pettiness from a rich kid. Not a lot of depth.
Maybe I'm overthinking a YA Novel.
