For anybody who wants to get a senior class of 2019 t-shirt and donate to SU's arboretum on main campus, you should totally do this while you can. I've already asked and if you reach out to them, they will ship it to you. Just $10 gets you a shirt!
@BrittGroth I thought this was satire at first. I hope they're prepared for the huge financial burden of supporting loads of families who can't afford and weren't prepared to have kids. 40% of unplanned pregnancies are terminated, so imagine that many more people to support

@Teresas_Tweet I feel that personal liberty is important, but there are limits. Especially considering that the parents are making the choice, not the child, and the wrong choice can be fatal. I think human rights (especially the right to life) should be at the highest priority

@MaraAnthony95 I think that if more good, law-abiding citizens carried guns, safety would increase. You see this with robberies, where the person who would be a victim is armed and defends themselves. Maybe this could help domestic abuse victims too, but that's a tricky one

@lbaroch1 There have been programs offering free vaccines to low-income families in the area before. Raising awareness of this would solve the issue for those who can't afford it, but for those who object for religious reasons, they unfortunately will be hard to convince.

@FerrisNed I think far too many resources are wasted to catch people on minor traffic violations, and often people end up not being able to afford to pay the fines, which causes more trouble. I think for people who are not speeding excessively, which is most, it’s a good thing

@AlisonLJohnson It’s been getting popular in some circles and demographics to not vaccinate now. The worst part is that a common reason for this anti-vax ideology is because of this unfounded claim that they cause autism. As if death and disease are better than having autism.

Interesting alternative treatment involves skill-training parents of children suffering from anxiety, but the children do not enter therapy of any kind. By changing the way parents respond to their children, 70% of children had no anxiety by the end of the study.

@HendronMakenzie Couldn't agree more. A 50% increase in pay is unimaginable for many businesses, particularly small businesses. What you will see is a sharp decrease in jobs because companies will have to cut their workforce in order to function.

@Kendall_Student I don't doubt that this significantly contributes to recidivism. Prisons should serve as punishment, but the end goal should include reforming prisoners to re-enter society, and extended solitary confinement does not do this.

There are laws to fight age discrimination for those over 40, but nobody seems to talk/ care about discrimination faced by the younger workforce, which do not have these protections in place. Thankfully there are resources seeking to help.

And this is only 1 in 10 that get reported- keep in mind the actual numbers might be quite higher. Even if you think it doesn't affect "you" or "anyone you know", it clearly is affecting a vast number of children.

@AlisonLJohnson I wonder how other schools have fared years after the shootings they've experienced. It seems that some schools get more media attention than others, and Parkland is a good example of this due to the political movements that have developed from its students.

@SamRecovery12 I frankly don’t understand why in a developed country like the US we have only a 2 party system anyway. Germany, Italy, Brazil, Australia, and more have multi party systems. Seems we need to catch up

This addresses more than what you'd expect per the title. Every so often, I hear of somebody from a minority race who's been discriminated against by their own community for being "too white" for going to college or having high aspirations. Lots of layers to this
