We need a Universal Basic Income. But one that is funded from the returns of capital, not taxation.
What we at @DiEM_25 call a Universal Basic Dividend.

11 days before Iran’s World Cup opener:
• No visas yet approved for players or staff
• Forced to move their camp from USA to Mexico
• A friendly cancelled due to the relocation
This is how the world’s 21st-ranked team is being treated before football’s biggest tournament.
This ends any debate over the reality of Israel's apartheid regime.
The death penalty for one race only, enforced through military courts with a 99.7% conviction rate.
Shame on those who deny apartheid.
Shame on those who deny that West Bank settler terrorism and ethnic cleansing is Israeli government policy.
Shame on the Labour government for not ending the sale of weapons to Israel 2.5 years into a genocide in Gaza.
It’s horrifying how much brutality can be crammed into just 41 sec.
Avner Avraham, a former Mossad agent who also dabbles in art & journalism when he’s not daydreaming about wiping out Gaza, openly admits that Israel plants agents in Gaza to launch rockets at Israel just to justify leveling the Strip.
Any self-reflection by the entire political and media establishment in Britain at this news? Of course not, it was never about football or community safety, it was always about socking one to anti-genocide protesters and the Muslim community — and this racist BS will go on and on
Maccabi Tel Aviv fans not allowed to attend Aston Villa UEFA Europa match due to safety concerns.
This is what happened last time the genocidal racist violent hooligans visited Europe @pularjs
This whole Maccabi Tel Aviv - Aston Villa issue should be a case study in the manipulative use of allegations of antisemitism.
It turns out the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans stemmed from intelligence shared by the European Policing Network to Westmidlands Police regarding the danger posed by Maccabi Tel Aviv fans. It is for this reason that there was a 'high risk' designation because of violent incidents that had occurred elsewhere in Europe perpetrated by Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.
Our Home Secretary was made aware of this ban last week. So, the government has had a whole week to prepare a comprehensive and sensible statement / position regarding the ban. Instead, our political leaders have consciously and deliberately chosen to further a malicious narrative, claiming falsely that this is a case of antisemitism; that Jews in the UK are not safe and cannot be adequately protected if they attend football matches.
All of this is in furtherance of a narrative that pro-Palestine activity is somehow an imminent and serious threat to Jewish communities and the very future of Jewish life in the United Kingdom. This, in turn, is also furthering islamophobic, anti-Arab, and anti-Palestinian racism and dehumanising narratives about Palestinians and their supporters.
What a complete mess this has become all because our government has no spine and seeks to exploit the sense of insecurity and vulnerability of Jews as a convenient scapegoat.
A message for the Palestinian people:
Your spirit, your determination has inspired so many people all over the world. And one day, you will not just free Palestine - you will free us all.
