🎥 Jeff Hafley believes the tough start to the season will allow the Dolphins to find out who 'the real guys' are:
"I told the guys very clearly that this was going to be a tough journey that we're all going to go on. I told them that if they weren't up for it, they can talk to Sully." (@MiamiDolphins) #PhinsUp

The dialogue around Malik Willis and the Dolphins' QB situation should not be as binary as it has been.
It's NOT either 1) Willis is the solution at QB, or 2) Draft a QB in round 1.
There also has to be a QB worth drafting in the top 5 in 2027. That's the most important part of this entire thing.
You don't just draft a QB in the top 5 because you need a new QB. That's how bad franchises stay bad.
🎥 Jacob Rodriguez on recent performances improving but still not winning games: "I don't necessarily believe in moral victories. The physicality and the want to is all there... we just got to learn how to win." (@MiamiDolphins) #PhinsUp
Dolphins LB Jacob Rodriguez's 18 tackles vs. the Vikings were a franchise rookie record, passing fellow Red Raider LB Zach Thomas who had 16 vs. the Cardinals in 1996 #PhinsUp

Just finished Dolphins vs Chiefs film…
- We often say in sports, “there’s no moral victories” but yesterday was great for the Dolphins
- Chiefs look like the most complete team in the NFL through 3 weeks and Fins gave them everything they could handle all 4 quarters.
- After last week’s game vs 49ers with miscommunication, blown coverage, stagnant offense. The fins responded and executed at a level that you can build from!
- I really like Malik Willis. He’s improving weekly, competes his ass off, fast as hell, big arm and plays without fear
- Has a lot of room for growth as an all around QB but the talent is there and this year of reps will give the front office great insight
- Losing Achane for the season is terrible, one of the best players in the league, regardless of position
- Chris Bell 👀
Great to see him get out and space where you can see the unique combo of size and speed
- Ollie Gordon played really well, and will be great to follow him moving forward
- was impressed by the OLine as a whole. Still room for improvement but they were consistently good yesterday
- I know the Fins only put up 10 points but we moved the ball really efficiently against Spags and the Chiefs defense
Texans fans… is it not okay to want more from your QB??
CJ Stroud is extremely talented and has shown moments of making great plays. Those moments are often followed up by a turnover or taking a bad sack! All sacks are NOT on the OL!
Y’all crying about everybody else, and there’s blame to go around but in order for the Texans to be what we expect them to be, CJ needs to be great! 🤷🏾♂️
This Chop Robinson hit on Patrick Mahomes was beautiful. Refs flew the flag for roughing, but it was a clean hit, no helmet. Ostensibly, the flag flew because Robinson buried his full weight? But what the HELL does the NFL expect rushers to do?
Mahomes gets ALL the calls...
I don’t think any deterministic evaluation of Miami’s coaching staff is fair until after Week 8, the earliest.
What’s happening right now is that the Dolphins are keeping it close in the first half because no one knows who they are. Teams figure it out, which is why you’re seeing second-half blowouts.
So, two things I’m watching. The first is that how does Miami do in Week 5 when opponents have four games of film and tendencies on them? Can they keep on keeping it close in the first half?
And then by Week 9, are they starting to hang with the other team in the third quarter? And by Week 13 or so, are they keeping it close in the fourth?
The roster is bare. Remember that Brian Flores’ Dolphins team was historically bad almost the entire first half of the season before they started to show some improvement.
🎥 Jordyn Brooks on the morale in the locker room following the heavy defeat: "It won't unravel. We got the right guys in the locker room, it's just a matter of time... we don't want to go through it, but it's just what it is." (@MiamiDolphins) #PhinsUp
Exactly right. This is the youngest team in the league in their 2nd road game. McDaniel’s unit did that for four years with highly experienced veterans.
