Twenty years ago, I was taught that rasa does not happen inside a person. It happens in a sabha, a gathered room, when a crowd stops being individuals for a while.

Then cinema made watching a private act, and the phone finished the job.

#LifeIsAGame began as a question about whether the phone could be turned back into the thing that gathers a room rather than the thing that scatters it. Two hundred people, one screen, no app, no internet, deciding a story together in the dark.

Yesterday the first look was unveiled at the BRICS Waves Bazaar in Mumbai by @AshGowariker , celebrated director and Festival Director of IFFI, and by Ashish Kulkarni sir, founding Director of IICT. Around a hundred delegates from 21 countries played it on their own phones at our pod, they asked how soon they can experience the film. That is the answer I went for.
