MR: Matawa Youth Delegation Returns from Inaugural Participation at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues: https://t.co/Q6ZPoVCAIp (youth statement to United Nations linked in document) #waterdiversions#treaty#onpoli#IndigenousPeoples#IndigenousRights
I am really grateful to be invited to speak at @AllianceAutism Autism Leadership summit. However I feel that the most valuable information could have been from someone who is autistic and Indigenous or an Indigenous parent with an autistic child. I am neurodivergent as well…….
I can only speak about my lived experiences with adhd and my learning disability. I shared the importance of hearing from those with lived experiences who come from diverse backgrounds (ie: BIPOC, older adults, 2SLGBTQIA+, remote/rural…etc…) #Autism#research#IndigenousPeoples
Congratulations @JossOssim, of Moose Cree First Nation, who received the @Indspire Award for Public Service! A great night celebrated by @LinklaterVictor @PattyHajdu and Oshkaatisak Council members. Meegwetch, Jocelyn. You are an inspiration!
I was at the Indspire awards along with two fellow Oshkaatisak council members and DGC Linklater. We congratulated and celebrated fellow Nishnawbe Aski Nation community member and Oshkaatisak founder Jocelyn for being awarded the 2024 Indspire Public Service award. #Indigenous
Today I was part of a panel at the 10th Annual Canadian Autism Leadership Summit and I shared an Indigenous perspective with regard to the development and implementation of a National Autism Research Network. #autism#autismresearch#indigenouscommunities#communitybasedresearch
Mental health matters.
To the @NANComms Youth Council members who spoke today about how we can better support youth mental health: Thank you. Your perspectives are critical, and I’m going to carry this conversation with me as we work to improve wellness supports across Canada.

"I'm very proud to see K-Pop or even Asian artists to rise to a moment like this in this generation…everyone puts in the time and effort and they try to be perfect at everything and I really admire and I'm still learning that vision." - @JacksonWang852
