The contrast between JD Vance & Tim Walz is staggering when it comes to a lot of topics. But let’s just focus on two right now:
1) our education system & teachers
2) their respective positions regarding preserving our democracy & the U.S. government system in general.

Let’s start with schools & teachers:
•JD Vance attacks public education & teachers.

•Tim Walz was a celebrated veteran social studies teacher at a public school.

•Vance attacks teachers & schools that try to make all their students feel safe.

•Walz, as a high school teacher and football coach, started the GSA at his school when he saw that gay student was feeling alienated at school.

And next up, preserving our democracy:

•Vance tries to parade as a populist but he’s an elitist follower of Curtis Yarvin, a man who wants to overthrow our democratic system as we know it. He’s a modern day monarchist. Yarvin once said of Americans: “They’re going to have to get over their dictator phobia”

•Meanwhile, Walz is a true man of the people dedicated to protecting & preserving our democracy. He wants to work with Harris to improve our country so that more Americans have opportunities and greater freedom.

In other words:

Vance wants to tear us down.

Walz wants to build us up.

There’s so much to unpack here, but let’s start with the fact that Trump and Republicans can’t point to a single verified case of women having 8th or 9th month abortions or legally “executing” babies after birth. But what IS happening? There are numerous verified cases of women suffering, bleeding out, and in excruciating pain because they’re being denied healthcare—forced to wait until they’re literally dying before getting a lifesaving abortion or even a D&C.

Republicans cling to this fantasy about 9th month abortions because it’s easier for them to sell fear and nonsense than face the real-life consequences of their disastrous policies.

Sending abortion bans to the states has only made it worse. Depending on your zip code, women are forced into a medical nightmare just because Republicans decided to play doctor. They’re selling the public on myths while their policies are putting lives on the line.

Donald Trump has faced political violence by gunfire and still won’t support reasonable gun laws—even though he’s always about protecting himself. That’s how tight the NRA’s vice-grip is on Trump’s and Republicans' nuts.

Meanwhile, Ryan Wesley Routh, with a rap sheet a mile long, including illegal possession of a machine gun, somehow still got his hands on an AK-47-style rifle—let that sink in.
