@CubbyPau Thankfully I have state insurance, so my meds, medical, and therapy are all covered 100%. But stuff like food ordered in because I don't have the spoons to cook, adds up.
@SanDiegoJay@PeteButtigieg We live in a 4 bedroom house. Our kids still spent the crib years at the foot of our bed. They won't need more than the one bedroom for a good long time yet.
Today, the 5 most vaccinated states (14M people) had
580 people in hospital, 12 deaths
In the 5 least vaccinated states (16M people)?
6,600 hospitalized, 104 deaths
Per capita , least vaccinated states have
10X hospitalizations and 7X deaths
So yeah, vaccines are working
@little_pop_work His pediatrician has already agreed to administer it at his well-child appointment if they have it in stock. Just grateful he'll have the first dose before he starts middle school, and the second shortly after.
@little_pop_work Believe me, I'm on your side. I've required masks for my kiddos any time they leave the house since it became a thing, even after local mandates were dropped. Thankfully my oldest is already vaxxed, and my middle one turns 12 next week.
@little_pop_work Exactly. Of course, I just laugh at all the parents threatening to homeschooling to avoid masking their kids and go "Cool, so smaller class sizes for my kids then."
@little_pop_work And meanwhile parents are throwing fits because our Governor DID mandates masks in schools for this coming fall. I don't get it! (FTR: I am in full support of our mandate.)
@janetgmiller @OregonGovBrown@OHAOregon The only issue with a vax mandate for schools is you'd have to put in an exemption for K-6, as there's not currently a vax approved for those ages.
