We are releasing CCTV footage of Parker taken on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12:52 p.m. in the 5500 block of Travis Crescent N.E.

We are asking Calgarians to check their properties for signs of Parker. Every search matters & even places you've already looked should be checked a second time.

If you have a vehicle, truck, trailer or RV that hasn't been used recently, please open it & look inside. Thoroughly search garages, sheds, play structures, storage areas, utility rooms, cupboards, basements, under decks & other enclosed spaces where a child may seek shelter from the heat. Look carefully in narrow spaces between fences & hedges, behind lawn equipment & in any small area where a child could go unnoticed.

We also know Parker has a tendency to enter homes and lock doors behind him. We are asking residents to carefully check their homes, garages & sheds once more. Your attention could make all the difference.

This happened last Monday at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport..
Lucas, 6, autistic and minimally verbal, was having a sensory meltdown at the security checkpoint - too much noise, too many people, bright lights. He sat on the floor rocking and hitting his head with his fists. His dad, Brian, knelt beside him, but nothing was working. Security tried to help and made it worse.
Travelers stopped and stared; some took photos. Then Sharon, 61, rolled toward Lucas in her wheelchair with her four-year-old Golden Retriever PTSD service dog, Bear. She stopped a few feet away and unclipped his leash.
Bear walked to Lucas on his own, lay down beside him, and pressed his body against his side. Lucas stopped hitting his head immediately, gripping Bear’s fur, his rocking slowing until he leaned into the dog and stayed there. Sharon held back, letting Bear work. After several minutes, Lucas calmed enough to stand. Brian turned to Sharon, tears in his eyes: “How did you know to do that?”
“Bear is my PTSD service dog,” Sharon said. “He’s not trained for autism. But he recognized Lucas needed help and pulled toward him. I trusted his instincts.
He’s done this before — approached people in distress without being asked.
He just knows.”
“Lucas was in complete meltdown. I couldn’t reach him. Security couldn’t help,” Brian told reporters. “Then this stranger let her service dog help my son.
Bear did what I couldn’t.”
Airport staff gave the family priority boarding and commended Sharon. “Bear helps me every day,” she said. “But sometimes he knows others need help too. I always trust when he tells me someone needs him.”
Sometimes a service dog’s greatest gift is recognizing pain in someone who isn’t even their handler.

I saw a post about a UPS driver getting reported for eating lunch in his truck.
Last week, our regular Amazon delivery driver pulled up and asked if she could park in front of our house to cool off.
She wasn’t feeling well the gas fumes in her van were making her sick.
We told her to pull into the shade right away.
Then we invited her into our shop to rest.
We set up a chair right in front of the cooler for her.
She sat down and we handed her a cold bottle of water.
It was such a small thing, but she really needed the break.
There’s nothing wrong with showing basic kindness.
These delivery workers are out there every day in tough conditions.
We’re all in this together.
A little compassion goes a long way.

I stood 5 feet from @MarkJCarney tonight as he delivered a masterful speech. A he does.

His eyes were empty from exhaustion, I would guess, as he started his probably 10th speech of the day and he had juts traversed the globe from Turkey and I think the Middle East.

By the middle, he was revitalized,firm, and a bit fierce as he delivered a most optimistic vision for Canada, but you can see the worry and not help but sense that his own exhaustion comes from real urgency and concern.

We live in a world where I feel the enemy is partisanship and the antidote is citizenry. I think most Canadians share this perspective.

I so desperately hope we can quickly know that the latter always shapes the former, and not the other way around.
