Thanks to Pailin provincial court for supports and providing pro bono lawyer to protect the victim. 13 years old victim girl was raped by father after her mother passed away. After testimony at court, she visited her younger brothers who are the monks. Just talking with her over the phone, her emotional feeling is down, depression and sadness. She is an ethnic minority who admitted the center since her young age. She wasn’t speak Khmer properly. She has been elected by other girls to be an in-centered leader for 4 consecutive years. I remember that she had serious mental health problems, but through hard work and determination, she recovered. Today, she went for a visa interview to travel to Switzerland, Italy, and France 😘 Life is in our hands. In 2023, her mother passed away. She has five siblings, and they live with their father, who is unemployed. Since 2025, she has been raped by her father. She did not dare to reveal what he had done to her to her grandmother because he had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
The poor girl has had to earn money to support her younger siblings. Every time she went to school, her father followed her and burned her school uniforms. These brutal actions caused her post-traumatizing disorder, was treated in hospital. Poor girls is now arrived at AFESIP’s center.
