Nigel Dawes has officially announced his retirement from the @NHL after 212 regular-season games-played.
Nigel was drafted in the 5th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft to the @NYRangers. He would go on to score 84 points for several teams over 7 seasons, and spent 5 years in @TheAHL during his NHL tenure.
Dawes’ hockey career didn’t stop after that as he spent 10 seasons in the KHL (scoring 505 points), and 2 seasons in the DEL (scoring 66 points).
Congratulations, Nigel on your fantastic career and welcome to the #NHLAlumni Association! 👏
So, this in-house CBC graphic is obviously misleading. The pink bar should be a huuuuuuge; dwarfing all others. But whoops; there's a quietly tiny grayscale tilda at the side to omit ... ONE BILLION DOLLARS.
