UPDATE: I GOT MY CHANNEL BACK YESTERDAY! 10 days without my channel was nerve-racking but i'm extremely grateful to @TeamYouTube for straightening everything out (I even cried a bit yesterday). Still have lots of stuff to spiffy up on the back end but i'm currently working on it

UPDATE: @TeamYouTube has reached out to me via DM and are going to put me in touch with the right team to help me sort out the hijaking situation. I know it’s just the beginning of a long road to getting my channel restored but I’m relieved to have a starting point

@TeamYouTube 2 step verification will do nothing against these Phishing hackers. You need to make it much more difficult to change the ownership of a channel.

@TeamYouTube I think there should also be a 2 step verification for changing ownership of a channel. That would put a stop to the phishing hackers. Changing ownership is a serious deal (IMO) and a secondary 2step verification should be necessary.
