A helpful note for the angry and under-informed: The Refugee Resettlement Program just defunded by Trump has nothing to do with the southern border or illegal immigration. These are two different conversations.
If I allow a political ideology to dictate who deserves mercy or place conditions on it, I risk distorting my faith into an instrument of division and exclusion rather than a true reflection of God's boundless grace.

@skylarromines@maddenifico There are solutions to that, though. During our first year back full days after Covid, all students got free lunch. Parents were asked to “reserve” what their child would want for lunch for planning purposes. Students weren’t held to that, necessarily, but it cut down on waste.
I remember being taught that saying "oh my God" was taking the Lord's name in vain... Ironically, lots of the same people who taught me that are totally cool with this though🫠
It isn't "sharing your faith" when you're using legislation to do it. That's "forcing your faith."
Jesus never gave us the right to impose our religious beliefs on anyone.
When it violates human free will and matters of conscience, it isn't about Jesus.
It's about control.
@hanschoelo@drantbradley An accusation cannot become a proven event without an investigation, particularly when it comes to what is often a he said - he/she said event, such as abuse. Churches have been notoriously bad at investigating said events. Matthew 18 does not apply.
