The LIES told by Rob Hersov on The PBD Podcast, with Patrick-Bet David:

- There was a peaceful handover in 1994 due to FW De Klerk and the NP having a good heart. No, twas due to international sanctions, political prisoners crying out, pressure from those in exile, and a looming civil war thanks to guerilla armies & international allies. They had to negotiate fiercely with the ANC and other liberation movements to ensure a peaceful transition.

- There was meritocracy in SA before Jacob Zuma's presidency. No, Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki implemented BEE and Affirmative Action, to ensure black representation, even if there were better White candidates. This was in the spirit of economic transformation & fixing past injustices.

- Jacob Zuma sent cadres with a direct mission loot & steal from SOEs. No, the reality is that during this tenure, loadshedding was stopped, SOEs became profitable, local entertainers were priorized, and there was greater transformation in SOEs & parts of the private sector.

- Jacob Zuma removed all the middle class town & city employees who were managing local service delivery. There is no such thing. This is just a lie.

- Most farmland in SA is owned by Black farmers & White farmers only own 20% of arable land. False. According to The Land Audit of 2017 - the official land ownership document - 72% of farmland is owned by White ppl, with Black ppl owning 3%.

- Most farm murders are of White farmers. There is no proof of this. Understandably, most farm murders are of workers, who are mostly Black/Coloured. There are between 40 to 60 farm murders annually, in a country with over 20,000 murders annually.

- There were no Black people in the Cape when the Dutch settled in 1652. False. The Xhosa ppl had been in SA and the Cape since 500AD, and the Khoi & San have been in South Africa from 30,000 years ago. There were Xhosa/Frontier wars between the settlers & amaXhosa, which pushed the Black groups inland.

- Nelson Mandela was a good guy in a bad party. Not true. If anything, Mandela was a more brutal version of Julius Malema. He helped set up uMkhonto weSizwe, the guerilla wing of the ANC. They got military training, sabotaged infrastructure & were ready to launch a civil war. That's why he was labelled a terrorist locally & abroad, and sentenced to life in prison. Many White ppl praise him because he forgave them in 1990 & ensured their ill-gotten wealth & privilege was preserved.

- Companies like Shell & Exxon are pulling out of South Africa due to the ANC. Blatant lie. Both of these companies are pulling out of many global terrorities to focus on other aspects of their business. Shell will remain in SA to focus on their upstream business.

- No American company would invest in South Africa. C'mon... there are over 600 American companies operating in South Africa. And there's a chance that American Starlink will be joining them soon.

- Doesn't understand why the SAn govt sides with Palestine. Very convenient. The Palestinian govt supported & aided the ANC and other liberation groups during Apartheid. Israel decided to work with & supply the Apartheid govt instead.

- Rob Hersov is the most influential non-political person in South Africa. Hahaha... unfortunately not. Those honours go to people like Johann Rupert, Nicky Oppenheimer, Patrice Motsepe, Martin Moshal & some other business heavyweights who fund political parties, sit in govt committees, fund charity work in SA, and command influence abroad, through various stakeholders.

The saddest part of Rob Hersov's podcast tour in America is that he clearly has no respect for South African sovereignty nor democracy.

He is demanding that America impose itself unto South Africa, against the wishes of voters and the GNU, to do what HE and other dissenting voices are calling for.

He did emphasize that he feels only a dictator can change South Africa, not democracy.

PS. I do not support the ANC & agree that it's corrupt & incompetent.
