@TopTyr_ Glad you loved it, man! I think the issue is that the film, while bad, also just feels so empty of anything of substance. It also can’t make sense within the context of what has come before. It’s not that people were expecting Andor, it’s that they were hoping for something good.
It is highly irregular for stunt performers to share top billing with the lead actor/actress.
How often do you think Pedro was actually on screen during the film?
@thatchhaila@OfficialMinty_ What?! Why not? Why can’t we “expect” new filmmakers coming in to stay consistent to what came before? Andor did that and it fits perfectly with the OT.
@thatchhaila@OfficialMinty_ Are… are you trying to make the point that the sequels are bad? Brother, you won’t get any arguments from me there. That’s just whataboutism.
@thatchhaila@OfficialMinty_ Okay? But it HAS to be a good Star Wars movie. It’s working off pre established mythology so it can’t just choose to not stay consistent with what’s come before.
@dyhptg I have plenty of fun. I don’t think you’re wrong for liking things that are bad, I personally love the prequels, but I can acknowledge that they’re bad. I’m allowed to want an open conversation in good faith about criticism in media.
