I built my home in a ghost town
I believed that if I painted the walls yellow
maybe the sun would shine
If I planted a beautiful garden
Maybe the birds would come to sing
If I called out to the neighbouring towns
Maybe someone would hear my cry and save me from my loneliness

Whether it’s a toxic job, a difficult relationship, or an overwhelming task, not every challenge needs to be faced head-on. Sometimes, retreat is a measure of strength, a way to protect oneself from harm.

After an exceptionally frustrating and difficult week I drove to a mountain and I hiked through the beautiful rainforest for 18kms until I couldn’t really walk anymore.
