🇬🇧🇪🇸 British journalists went UNDERCOVER and contacted people-smugglers who are now MOVING migrants out of the UK.

The traffickers are hiding people in lorries and sending them across the Channel into France, then offering a taxi service down to Spain.

Their sales pitch is simple: Spain is the best option right now. Everyone is going there because of the amnesty that lets undocumented migrants get papers and work after a short stay.

Many of the customers are visa overstayers from India and Pakistan trying to escape tougher enforcement in Britain and gain free movement across Europe.

A migrant boat in French waters is classed as a boat in distress under International Maritime Law. This is because these boats are not sea worthy and are usually overloaded.

If the Royal Navy were to spot a migrant boat in distress in French waters they would be obliged under said maritime law to return the boat to the nearest place of safety, which would be a port in France.

This would be perfectly legal for the Royal Navy to do as they would technically be saving migrant lives.

It would be illegal for the French to stop the Navy from doing this.
