FLY MASKS & FEED TUBS!!
Weโd love to raise $366.00 for 15 fly masks and feed tubs.
Flies are worse than ever and these masks (ty @AustinRouthier for the ones you sent)) are the best for our horses.
The feed tubs are pretty worn out, and beat up; some of the horses use them as toys! ๐ Thank you!

The Belmont Stakes! We think of Tapit on this day, siring 4 winners of this race is amazing!
Silver Tap is reminding everyone that he is by Tapit and could have won The Belmont, too! But today, heโll watch from Dadโs phone, eat snacks and nap during commercials. Itโs a good life ๐ฉถ๐ฉถ
Best of luck to all of the runners!
Throwback Thursday!
โItโs almost a match race now between Secretariat and Sham!โ
Nash and Fred re-enact the 1973 Belmont Stakes, the greatest race ever run!
We think of Ron Turcotte this time of year and that legendary ride!
Wait until the end to see Secretariat โsurgeโ to the lead.๐
Good luck to all runners!
Our two new STB mares, Ruby (Flushing High) and Jewel (Midnight Jewel) are out of QT.
Ruby was a hard working cart horse most of her life. She's 16 now and has some issues most likely related to that life of pulling carts. But, sheโs comfortable.
Jewel is 29. Yes, 29. She is that rare combination of being a champion racer (almost 800k!!) and a champion producer. One of her progeny, Night Pro, is in the MI HOF! The others were all winners and earned a lot of $.
How did she end up in auction, being advertised as a 17 yo trail horse? How did she end up there at all? ๐
What we know is that theyโre both safe here, at home, with us. Neither of these precious souls will ever go hungry or be neglected again.
Weโve now taken in 7 slaughter-bound STBs and many slaughter-bound TBs. We do all we can.
If you can help with their expenses, hereโs our donate link:

๐๐๐HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY ๐๐๐
Blind Harry was a Maryland bred, STB, b. May 28, 2003 d. April 13, 2024. He was by Lislea, Albatross Magic by Albatross.
Harry was rescued out of a dire situation in Kansas. He lived in a pasture with Khan of Khans, who became Harryโs guide, eyes, and good friend. Harry went blind at a young age, and his years could not have been easy.
He brought so much joy and love to our lives and continues to inspire us. He was the first horse to step on to Maplehurst Stock Farm, marking the beginning of our journey with Mane Characters. He was a descendant of Jay Bird, the great sire from the turn of the 20th century, who is buried here on our farm. Harry's arrival at Maplehurst was no accident, as he embodied the legacy and spirit of Jay Bird! His own legacy is a vital part of Mane Characters, and today, and every day, we honor his memory by continuing to care for and rescue horses in need.
And came out smelling like a rose!!! ๐น
Congratulations to Barbara Livingston and her amazing exhibition tonight at the Racing Hall Museum. She puts her heart and soul into these exhibitions so it will be impressive beyond words. Have a great night, Barbara. ๐โค๏ธ
