Valerie Bertinelli is the heart of Kids Baking Championship. She’s the gentle, supportive guiding voice for those kids, and they’ve been lucky to have her.

Shortly after 6 p.m., a Fridley officer spotted a stolen vehicle in the area of 85th Ave. & University Ave. - The suspect fled in the vehicle, eventually going eastbound in the westbound lanes of County Rd. 10 into Mounds View and the pursuit was terminated. A short time later it was reported that the suspect had run over a person at Scherer Brothers Lumber on Hwy. 10 in Arden Hills while attempting to carjack a vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot into a neighboring mobile home park, where he carjacked a vehicle from a resident there.

Ramsey County deputies spotted the newly carjacked vehicle headed eastbound in the westbound lanes of County Road 96 and initiated a pursuit. A PIT maneuver was performed near County Rd. 96 and Centerville Rd. to disable the vehicle and the suspect was taken into custody in the parking lot of Cub Foods.

The person who was run over by the suspect was transported to the hospital with unknown extent of injuries.
