The Maternal & Newborn Improvement - Quality of Care (MANI QC) is reducing maternal & newborn mortality in Kenya funded by FCDO and managed by @OptionsinHealth
@MANI_QC is profoundly appreciative of @kerichocountygv strides in addressing actions identified the #MPDSR review meetings over three years working together; these include increasing availability of operating theatres & consultants to improve maternal and newborn survival.
As a result, more than 12,000 units of blood have been collected in @kericho_county leading to the lives of mothers & babies being saved.

#SafeBlood is essential to save the lives of mothers & babies at risk from obstetric haemorrage, amajor cause of death among pregnant women in #LKenya. @MANI_QC worked with @kerichocountygv to strengthen #SafeBlood transfusion services.
Our support to @kerichocountygv included sharing knowledge about the careful use of blood, setting up hospital transfusion committees & voluntary blood donation drives.
