@McMasterU @MacSSC @macrezlife What about the students who have not received visas, and do not have deferral options? It is easy for the university to say that apply next year again but it takes a tremendous amount of effort and finance for all the admission processes.

@CitImmCanada So now when IRCC couldn't process applications, it gave out the decision to study online. University is not allowing online study, my deadline being 5th Sept I still haven't received PPR.
Does IRCC have any amount of credibility to help the student in need?

When the student approaches the university it says talk to IRCC, when we approach IRCC we are told to talk to the university. Here neither of them is ready to cooperate with students.
Is there ever going to be any solution to this situation?

It is a very pathetic situation because the university is neither providing online nor deferral, what should a student do who hasn't received the visa yet? Lodge date 29 June, Deadline 5th Sept

It is an humble request to IRCC to allow students to study online untill they receive their visa for September 2022 intake, and consider this period of online studies as equivalent to time spent in Canada.

@CanadainIndia Students are on the verge of getting their admissions cancelled because the university does not offer differment.
So all the hard work, efforts and finance goes to waste just because this processing times gets doubled by @CitImmCanada
SDS category is meant for visa within 30 days

@CanadainIndia Seriously, how can you expect the students to talk to DLI's when they are the ones suffering from these traumatising situation when everyone knows who is at fault here.
I have deadline of submitting my study permit on 5th September, flied my visa on 29th June.

I have the deadline to submit my PPR to the university on 5th September. I do not have differment option as well, I literally can not waste my 1 year just because of delay from IRCC.

@SeanFraserMP Sir please put in some attention towards the study permits as well, students are heaving deadlines from university/college and the visa isn't getting processed.

I would like to request IRCC to proceed June and July SDS files and give it priority as thousands of students are on hold for September intake, Our classes are starting from September 6
