Uniform is given to army for security of nation not to harass and demoralise the highly qualified professionals civilian officers who are working hard in MES in creating defence infrastructure. Highly irrational decision taken in haste.

@nsitharaman @PMOIndia Till now I was unaware that I am doing combat duty as IDSE offr in MES that too @ cost of 1/4th of the cost of Army engr. Thanks to Masters now it will be done by non combatant Army engrs @ cost of 400%. God Bless India. #mesindanger

Dumping of Combat Engineers in MES by E-in-C has affected the overall efficiency and quality of works. Even if the army officers are posted in MES, @DefenceMinIndia should stop their extra allowances like MSP, X-pay etc to re-balance defence expenditure. #mesindanger

#mesindanger The deliberations of the Shekatkar committee is about reductions in ranks of Corpse of Engrs ie Brig/Col/Lt Col of Engrs. but MODhave been misled/misrepresented by Army vested interest.instead they put sword on civil organization of MES Gp A IDSE cadre.
