आपल्या नाशिक शहराजवळ अंजनेरी येथे आपल्या प्रयत्नांतून साहसी क्रीडा प्रशिक्षण केंद्र उभारण्यात आले असून विविध साहसी क्रीडा प्रकारांच्या प्रशिक्षणासाठी हे प्रशिक्षण केंद्र सज्ज झाले आहे. भोसला इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ ॲडव्हेंचर स्पोर्ट्स क्लबमार्फत या ठिकाणी विविध साहसी क्रीडा प्रकाराचे धडे दिले जाणार आहे.

आपला नाशिक जिल्हा हा गड, दुर्गांचा जिल्हा म्हणून ओळखला जातो. महाराष्ट्रात सर्वाधिक ७० गड-किल्ले आपल्या नाशि�� जिल्ह्यात आहेत. ६४ गिरीदुर्ग, ४ भुईकोट किल्ले, ९ सुळके आहेत. संपूर्ण सह्याद्री पर्वतरांगेतील ४ हजारपेक्षा अधिक उंचीच्या ३४ शिखरांपैकी २२ शिखरे नाशिक जिल्ह्यात आहेत. त्यामुळे नाशिकमध्ये दुर्गपर्यटनासाठी मोठ्या संख्येने दुर्गप्रेमी येत असतात. साहसी प्रशिक्षित गिर्यारोहक ��्लायम्बिंग, रॅपलिंगद्वारे प्रत्यरारोहण साहित्याचा शास्त्रशुद्ध वापर करून सुळके, अवघड गड किल्ल्यांचा भाग, डोंगरकडा सर करतात.

त्यामुळे नाशिकमध्ये अद्ययावत साहसी क्रीडा प्रशिक्षण केंद्र असावे अशी नाशिककरांची अपेक्षा होती. त्यासाठी आपण पुढाकार घेत या प्रशिक्षण केंद्राच्या उभारणीसाठी प्रयत्न सुरू केले. सुरुवातीला हा विषय क्रीडा विभागाकडे होता, मात्र काम लवकर मार्गी लागण्यासाठी ते पर्यटन संचलनालयाकडे वर्ग करून घेतले. यासंदर्भात वेळोवेळी आढावा बैठक, कामाची पाहणी, त्यासाठी शासकीय व सरकारी पातळीवर आवश्यक असणाऱ्या बाबींची पूर्तता या माध्यमातून आपण अथकपणे पाठपुरावा केला. जिल्हा क्रीडा विभाग, पर्यटन विकास महामंडळ व सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभाग यांच्यात समन्वय साधून कामाला गती देण्यासाठी सूचना दिल्या. त्यासाठी लागणारा आवश्यक निधी देखील उपलब्ध करून दिला. या अविरत प्रयत्नानंतर महाराष्ट्रातील अशा प्रकारचे हे पहिलेच प्रशिक्षण केंद्र आपल्या नाशिक जिल्ह्यात साकार झाले आहे.

अंजनेरी येथे तालुका क्रीडा अधिकारी यांच्या कार्यालयाजवळच्या जागेत हे अद्ययावत केंद्र उभारण्यात आले आहे. या ठिकाणी भोजन व्यवस्थेसाठी कॅन्टिन, प्रशिक्षण सभागृह, निवासी प्रशिक्षणार्थी युव��, युवतींसाठी स्वतंत्र डॉर्मेटरी निवासव्यवस्था, स्वच्छतागृह आदी सुविधा देण्यात आल्या आहेत.

त्यामुळे नाशिक जिल्ह्यासह महाराष्ट्रभरातील व शेजारी राज्यातील पर्यटकांनी, साहसी क्रीडाप्रकारात रुची असलेल्यांनी या प्रशिक्षण केंद्राचा नक्की लाभ घ्यावा, असं माझं आवाहन आहे.
